Quote from: revcheno on July 30, 2026, 07:33:06 PMShe obviously cannot continue her appropriative, fraudulent, and damaging teachings anymore, but I know someone else has been tasked with continuing her work as her successor. Or something. Their website is still active and includes this:

"In January 2025, Grandmother transitioned to the Spirit World at the age of 81. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit and teachings continue to inspire us deeply. Out of respect for her family's wishes, we have removed her name and media from our website, honoring the sacredness of her legacy. Yet, her wisdom remains woven into the very fabric of everything we do. Her legacy lives on in the community she nurtured and the teachings she shared."

QuoteIn January 2025, Grandmother transitioned to the Spirit World at the age of 81. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit and teachings continue to inspire us deeply. Out of respect for her family's wishes, we have removed her name and media from our website, honoring the sacredness of her legacy. Yet, her wisdom remains woven into the very fabric of everything we do. Her legacy lives on in the community she nurtured and the teachings she shared.

Today, Hopi Wisdom Teachings is lovingly carried forward by Barbara Lee Black, who continues to nurture the community and uphold the vision that she and Grandmother shared. Through her guidance, Hopi Wisdom Teachings remains a sanctuary for those seeking balance, connection, and spiritual growth. You are invited to join this journey of transformation, where ancient wisdom meets the challenges of modern life, and where every step is a step toward harmony with ourselves, others, and the Earth.

Hopi Wisdom Teachings is more than a name—it's a symbol of peace and the Path of the Peaceful Way. While we don't claim Hopi identity or culture, we deeply resonate with the values and principles of their worldview. For us, ancestral wisdom is a guiding light, illuminating a way of life that prioritizes balance, kindness, interconnectedness, and the sacredness of all beings. It's a way of walking gently on this Earth, with purpose and compassion.

QuoteBarbara Lee Black
Barbara Lee Black's journey with Hopi Wisdom Teachings is a story of transformation, creativity, and dedication to preserving ancient wisdom for modern times. In 2015, she met a beloved elder we called Grandmother, a mentor and Jungian analyst whose teachings deeply resonated with Lee's spiritual philosophy and art practice. This connection led to a seven-year apprenticeship, during which Lee immersed herself in ancestral wisdom and practices, as well as deepening her interest in Jungian dreamwork and psychology.

Together, Lee and Grandmother co-founded Hopi Wisdom Teachings, a community dedicated to sharing ageless wisdom that fosters harmony, balance, and Right Relationship with oneself, others, and Mother Earth. Lee played a vital role in building the platform, organizing Wisdom Circles, creating educational content, and recording Grandmother's teachings. Her meticulous efforts have resulted in a rich archive of transformative insights that continue to guide Lee's art practice and teachings. Today, Hopi Wisdom Teachings is lovingly carried forward by Lee, who continues to nurture the community and uphold the vision that she and Grandmother shared.

In addition to her contributions at Hopi Wisdom Teachings, Lee is an accomplished artist, visual storyteller, dream worker, and educator. She holds a Master of Arts degree and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art. Her artistic journey has earned her two Artist Fellowship Awards from the Alabama State Council on the Arts, and her works have been exhibited regionally and nationally. Lee also served as an instructor of Digital Art and Photography at the University of Alabama from 2009 to 2018.

Her creative work reflects the interconnectedness of life and the spiritual essence of the physical world, inspiring others to embrace their unique gifts and explore the transformative power of their imagining mind. Additionally, Lee has completed several residential trainings with Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés Réyes at the Institute for Archetypal and Cross-Cultural studies, deepening her passion and knowledge in the transformative power of storytelling, archetypal and ancestral wisdom, and spiritual empowerment.

Through her work, Lee continues to share the timeless teachings that have shaped her journey. She invites you to step into the sacred circle, rediscover your original medicine, and weave your unique strand into the sacred web of life.

As can be seen from my previous posts, the site now distances itself from «Grandmother», not even naming her, but still claims to "resonate":

QuoteWhile we don't claim Hopi identity or culture, we deeply resonate with the values and principles of their worldview.

I have been looking for what more they claim about the Hopi «worldview», etc.

QuoteA WORD ABOUT WHO WE ARE
Before we go further, a word about who we are.

We are not Hopi. The name Hopi Wisdom Teachings reflects a deep resonance with the Hopi worldview — its values of peace, balance, harmony, and interconnectedness — not a claim to speak for the Hopi people or own their tradition.

QuoteHOPI AS A SYMBOL OF PEACE
Crafted by Lee Black: Weaving Wisdom for Your Journey
The Peaceful People
The word "Hopi" carries profound meaning, deeply rooted in the concept of peace. Often referred to as the "Peaceful People" or "People of Peace," the Hopi embody a philosophy that transcends mere words. For the Hopi, peace is not a passive state but an active practice—a way of living in balance and harmony with all beings, including humans, animals, plants, and Mother Earth. This worldview, known as the Path of the Peaceful Way, serves as a guiding light for those seeking to live in right relationship with the sacred web of life.

The Hopi Philosophy of Peace
The Hopi philosophy is built on the foundation of interconnectedness and balance. Their teachings emphasize the importance of living in harmony with the cycles of nature, embracing change, and honoring the sacredness of all beings. Peace, in the Hopi worldview, is not simply the absence of conflict—it is a dynamic state of balance that requires mindfulness, gratitude, and respect for all life.

The Hopi people believe that peace begins within. It is cultivated through intentional actions, such as showing kindness, practicing gratitude, and living in right relationship with the Earth. This philosophy is reflected in their ceremonies, which are acts of gratitude and reverence for life. For the Hopi, peace is a way of being—a commitment to living in harmony with the sacred web of life.

Lessons for the Modern World
The Hopi understanding of peace offers timeless lessons for our contemporary world, which is often marked by environmental crises, social fragmentation, and spiritual disconnection. Their teachings remind us that peace is not something external to be achieved—it is a practice that begins within each of us.

By embracing the Hopi principles of balance, respect, and harmony, we can transform our relationships with ourselves, others, and the Earth. The Hopi philosophy challenges us to ask: Are we living in balance? Are we walking in right relationship? Are we honoring the sacredness of all beings?

Walking the Path of the Peaceful Way
The Hopi philosophy invites us to walk the Path of the Peaceful Way, a journey of humility, gratitude, and love. It is a path about intention—consciously choosing to live in a way that honors the interconnectedness of all life. It is a call to action, urging us to take small, meaningful steps toward a more peaceful and sustainable world.

As we navigate the complexities of modern life, the Hopi worldview provides a framework for addressing challenges with grace and wisdom. It teaches us that peace is not a destination but a way of being—a practice of living in balance with the sacred web of life.

A Symbol of Hope
The Hopi people remind us that peace is possible, even in the face of adversity. Their teachings serve as a beacon, guiding us toward a more conscious, compassionate, and harmonious world. By walking the Path of the Peaceful Way, we can honor the sacred web of life and create ripples of transformation that inspire others to do the same.

This page contains some ten claims about the Hopi and ceremony (which I will not quote):

All of the above is very general, very vague. No references, no articles, no books, no links, no names.  Everything is generalized New Age self-improvement wellness messages that uses Indigenous appropriation-like terms as inspirational language.
