Quote from: revcheno on July 30, 2026, 07:33:06 PMShe obviously cannot continue her appropriative, fraudulent, and damaging teachings anymore, but I know someone else has been tasked with continuing her work as her successor. Or something. Their website is still active and includes this:

"In January 2025, Grandmother transitioned to the Spirit World at the age of 81. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit and teachings continue to inspire us deeply. Out of respect for her family's wishes, we have removed her name and media from our website, honoring the sacredness of her legacy. Yet, her wisdom remains woven into the very fabric of everything we do. Her legacy lives on in the community she nurtured and the teachings she shared."

Today, Hopi Wisdom Teachings is lovingly carried forward by Barbara Lee Black, who continues to nurture the community and uphold the vision that she and Grandmother shared. Through her guidance, Hopi Wisdom Teachings remains a sanctuary for those seeking balance, connection, and spiritual growth. Hopi Wisdom Teachings is more than a name—it's a symbol of peace and the Path of the Peaceful Way. While we don't claim Hopi identity or culture, we deeply resonate with the values and principles of their worldview. For us, ancestral wisdom is a guiding light, illuminating a way of life that prioritizes balance, kindness, interconnectedness, and the sacredness of all beings. It's a way of walking gently on this Earth, with purpose and compassion.

QuoteBarbara Lee Black
Barbara Lee Black's journey with Hopi Wisdom Teachings is a story of transformation, creativity, and dedication to preserving ancient wisdom for modern times. In 2015, she met a beloved elder we called Grandmother, a mentor and Jungian analyst whose teachings deeply resonated with Lee's spiritual philosophy and art practice. This connection led to a seven-year apprenticeship, during which Lee immersed herself in ancestral wisdom and practices, as well as deepening her interest in Jungian dreamwork and psychology.

Together, Lee and Grandmother co-founded Hopi Wisdom Teachings, a community dedicated to sharing ageless wisdom that fosters harmony, balance, and Right Relationship with oneself, others, and Mother Earth. Lee played a vital role in building the platform, organizing Wisdom Circles, creating educational content, and recording Grandmother's teachings. Her meticulous efforts have resulted in a rich archive of transformative insights that continue to guide Lee's art practice and teachings. Today, Hopi Wisdom Teachings is lovingly carried forward by Lee, who continues to nurture the community and uphold the vision that she and Grandmother shared.

In addition to her contributions at Hopi Wisdom Teachings, Lee is an accomplished artist, visual storyteller, dream worker, and educator. She holds a Master of Arts degree and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art. Her artistic journey has earned her two Artist Fellowship Awards from the Alabama State Council on the Arts, and her works have been exhibited regionally and nationally. Lee also served as an instructor of Digital Art and Photography at the University of Alabama from 2009 to 2018.

Her creative work reflects the interconnectedness of life and the spiritual essence of the physical world, inspiring others to embrace their unique gifts and explore the transformative power of their imagining mind. Additionally, Lee has completed several residential trainings with Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés Réyes at the Institute for Archetypal and Cross-Cultural studies, deepening her passion and knowledge in the transformative power of storytelling, archetypal and ancestral wisdom, and spiritual empowerment.

Through her work, Lee continues to share the timeless teachings that have shaped her journey. She invites you to step into the sacred circle, rediscover your original medicine, and weave your unique strand into the sacred web of life.
