I know Loren and some of the stuff he is doing is not support by the tribes

Yes, I knew Loren Zephier, too, before he became Chief Standing Elk and Chief Golden Light Eagle of the Galactic Federation of Light.  By wearing the traditional regalia associated with Plains tribes he creates the deceptive impression that the culture endorses him and his outrageous, bizarre and delusional beliefs and claims.  He makes the rest of the Dakota tribe - especially the Yanktons - look like fools and idiots if only because the Dakota/Yanktons are allowing him to continue to fleece his sheep under the guise of Yankton spirituality. Especially in one video, "Sioux Chief Taken Aboard Space Ship".
He took the star knowledge that was compiled over on the Rosebud, by the Lakota, and exploited it.

I wanted to add my comments on Loren Zephier, Golden Light Eagle, Standing Elk or whatever other name that he chooses to go by. tacha_sapa hit the nail on the head.  He wears traditional regalia to better "market" what he is pedaling.  I know of two men that HE declared that they were "Chiefs" and I suspect that there are others so that he can use their given title to market them as speakers or to promote his star knowledge conferences.  There may be some new knowledge in his teachings, but it is not native teachings but that is what he wants people to believe.  He is twisting and modifying teachings and ceremony, sometimes against natural laws, to make them fit what he wants to accomplish.  Currently, he, or I should say his people because most of the imformation is disseminated by his followers so that he can claim ignorance of what is done, but they are marketing a star knowledge conference in Iowa this summer, which they have overlapped with the first two days of purification for the Sundance he leads just down the road.  It is not being promoted as pay the $400 and some dollars to come the conference and you can stay for the Sundance, but I am sure that was in their marketing plans.  The bad thing about it is that he is a very charismatic person and many well meaning and good people that are ignorant and uneducated on "traditional teachings and traditional ceremony" are getting sucked into his cult.  I could share a number of other personal experiences I have had in dealings with him and his followers but felt that I needed to get some information out there as I see that there are still people inquiring about him and his teachings.  If you go to their website or seach youtube for Star Knowledge you can't miss him.

I have had the misfortune of listening to him speak at a conference and most of the native people walked out because we know about him
he is not respected among the native people

I suggest moving this thread to Archive No. 1 as 'NO LONGER A MATTER OF CONCERN'.

Moved to Archives. While Zephier has passed on, that does NOT mean the "Galactic Federation of Light" is any less dubious or less of a hoax. It is still based upon falsehoods and Zephier's association didn't make it legitimate.
