We got a notice that SMF, who hosts our board (and many, many others) had some kind of security breach. We do not yet know how much data the hacker got access to. There is no indication that we were the target of this attack, and so far there is no indication that any of our data here has been compromised.

But just to be on the safe side, everyone should change their passwords. Just in case.

We will let you know if there are any further concerns or any signs of security leaks.

OK, our data was not affected. The hack was in a totally different area of their servers.

Still, it's good to change your passwords often, and to use different passwords on different sites.
