The Twisted Hairs formed in 1254 AD as an intertribal medicine and sorcery society on the American continent, which continues today as an active and uninterrupted lineage.

Thunder Strikes is an inductee and a voting member of the Sokeship Council of the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame and currently carries the ranks of 10th Degree Black belt in Shorinji-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu, Shorei-Ryu Kenpo Karate and Chulukua-Ryu. He was the World Jiu-Jitsu Champion from 1967 to 1970."
