Siyo,

My name is Joseph. I am Cherokee. I should have introduced myself first but I plunged right into posting. Here on the east coast (I live in Baltimore, MD) where so many of us are mixed blood there seem to be an over abundance of twinkies, wannabees, frauds, etc.

I am a professional storyteller and educator. I have been involved with our Indian center here in Baltimore since 1973. Its one of the oldest urban Indian centers in the country.

I am the father of a 10 year old. Bringing him up properly with his traditions is my main goal right now. Its hard when there are so few of us and inner city culture is so inviting to these youth.

Ayway, I have rambled on long enough. I am glad I found this site and glad I have learned and been able to contribute so far.
