i wanna post some people they make you in two years to a sweatlodgekeeper
as education also there sale books how to build and run a sweat

I noticed on the front page a picture of their sweat lodge...

Once again, another group co-opting something they don't understand.  Very large sweat lodge covered in plastic tarp.

Another reiteration:

Using plastic tarps on sweat lodges is a very dangerous thing to do and has resulted in multiple deaths in the past.  Please, please, please NEVER EVER use plastic tarps on a sweat lodge.  It reduces the air flow and the heat causes the release of toxic chemicals into the small space inside, which are in turn breathed in by the participants.

What's worse....these people are charging for it and IMHO obviously misguided and wrong in what they are doing.

Diese Ausbildung ist gedacht für:

Demütige, tief mit der Mutter Erde verbundene Menschen, die sich zum Weg der Schwitzhütte hingezogen fühlen, die wissen, dass sie auch stets an der eigen Heilung weiter arbeiten müssen, aber bereit sind dem großen Geist – dem Göttlichen – zu dienen und sich für das Ritual der Schwitzhütte dem Großvater und allen Wesen zur Verfügung zu stellen.

Ich bin nun 20 Jahre auf dem indianischen Weg unterwegs.

Fünf Jahre reinen Lernens und nur als Teilnehmerin in der Schwitzhütte bei Lame Deer. Fünf Jahre als Schwitzhüttenleiterin und Koordinatorin unter Archie Fire Lame Deers Betreuung und nun schon zehn Jahre alleine als Schwitzhüttenleiterin nach dem Tod meines verehrten Lehrers, Archie. Ich habe jetzt das Gefühl, kompetent genug zu sein, um mein Wissen weiter zu geben und habe auch erstmals in meinem Leben Zeit, mich so gut wie nur noch dem spirituellen Pfad widmen zu können.

Eure Ausbildung zum Schwitzhüttenleiter wird zwei Jahre dauern.

Jeder, der kommen möchte, sollte zuerst bei mindestens einer Monatsschwitzhütte dabei sein, um einen ersten Kontakt zu knüpfen. Dann wird die 4-Tages Heilungsschwitzhütte vom 22.-26.6.2011 sein. Hier können die potentiellen Schüler mich auf traditionelle Weise während der Zeremonie um die Teilnahme an der Ausbildung bitten. Die eigentliche Ausbildung beginnt danach (genaue Daten werden noch bekannt gegeben).

Obligatorisch in den zwei Jahren ist:

- die Teilnahme an mindestens 7 Monatsschwitzhütten pro Jahr
- die Teilnahme an dem Vier-Tagesseminar einmal im Jahr.
- Acht Ausbildungswochenenden in zwei Jahren (jeweils mit Themenschwerpunkten).

Am letzten Ausbildungswochenende wird es eine theoretische und praktische Prüfung geben. Abschließend wird in einer Zeremonie das Zertifikat zum Schwitzhüttenleiter vergeben.

Die neuen Schwitzhüttenleiter sollen noch weitere zwei Jahre in gutem Kontakt und Supervision mit mir sein (Probezeit) und es muss gewährleistet sein, dass die eigenen Hütten in einem guten Geist geführt werden.

I feel so disgusted and sickened by that entire website that I can't even begin to find the words to express it.
Have these people no shame? not a single clue about appropriation and cultural theft?
I'm really just so blown away by this one, and the magnitude of stupidity, that I'm just going to have to focus on one thing:
The selling of Sweetgrass.
Never under any circumstances whatsoever is that ok.  Ever.  If that was the only red flag it would be enough to send me running in the opposite direction crying foul.  The fact that she is selling sweetgrass next to the yoga stuff which is next to the sweatlodges....simply unbelievable.
