Since I distribute Native music in Sweden i go to fairs and markets and talk about Native music. I really try to be as informative as i can but sometimes I just run out of patience......

I was at this fair and this lady came up to me and asked for "drum music". I have heard that question so many times from people who thinks that the new age "drum travelling" is a Native thang. As I usually do, I told the lady that what I have is Native music and that the music I have with drums is Pow wow or hand drum music, but that also means that there is singing. The lady said (as they always do) that she was looking for drum music without singing. That's when I ran out of patience..... and said "I'm sorry but i just can't get them to stop singing!".

She walked off, not amused at all, while I'm still laughing at it.... yeah, I know, I'm mean!
