Cherokee medicine woman working in the UK

educatedindian

This might be her, supposedly from the "Wolf Clan of Denton TX". http://www.healthypages.net/event.asp?eventid=16057&id=5172&eventmemberid=5172
"tradítional medicine card readings"? If your tradition is only twety years old and taken from Jamie Samms.

Her Native astrology bit seems an imitation of Sun Bear´s.

is there a Wolf Clan of Denton TX

so much information brain cells to small :(

I've never heard of someone claiming a clan as specific to a town not part of a reservation. The Cherokee do have a wolf clan, but I believe it was intended to be for warriors, which would be odd to have a woman claiming to be part of it. There are longstanding Cherokee communities that aren't recognized further south of Denton (maybe 100-150 miles), but none in Denton itself, though there are likely some individual Cherokee families nearby.

I once asked Steve Russell, a Cherokee professor who contributed to They Call Us Indians, about his clan. He politely but firmly told me it was no one's business who wasn't part of the tribe. So flashing your alleged clan affiliation seems like something someone insecure of their heritage or wanting to impress people would do. (Vance or Joseph, correct me if I'm wrong.)

My guess would be she has some distant Cherokee ancestry and fell for Nuage ideas.
