July 2018:

Quote
White Star, an internationally acclaimed psychic and medicine woman and founder of Divine Light Ministries, has returned to the Phoenix area after a highly successful international tour through Asia and Europe.

Quote
In August and September, she will hold special shamanic initiations on sacred lands in Sedona, as well as a crystal healing workshop in October.

White Star (Lino Alelyunas)  has an extraordinary background. She was born into a family of psychics: a psychic Lithuanian grandmother, a Cherokee grandmother,  a mother who became a Zen student in 1965 and used the I Ching for consultations about the family; a brother who is highly psychic and a sister who is a practicing medical intuitive and healer.

Quote
has had the title of Medicine Woman conferred upon her by other Native American medicine men and women

Some of the Native teachers I studied with along the way (from the time I was 17 until now), were Wallace Black Elk (Lakota); Ed McGaa (Eagle Man - Lakota); Buck Ghosthorse (Lakota); Gloria Two Feathers (Lakota); Brant Secunda,a Huichol shaman; Linda Ross, a profound Navaho medicine woman; Johnson Denison, esteemed Navaho medicine man; David Singing Bear (Cherokee); Rowanna (head of the Hopi medicine society for women); Uqualla (Havasupai ceremonial leader); Michael Harner (an anthropologist who studied shamanism with the Salish tribe in Washington); Sun Bear (Crow) and many others.

Her husband's name is Robert Lonsdorf. I don't know if they are still married. They lived recently in Bali.

Concerning this part from the post above:

Quote
She was born into a family of psychics: a psychic Lithuanian grandmother, a Cherokee grandmother,  a mother who became a Zen student in 1965 and used the I Ching for consultations about the family

...both her paternal grandparents Stanley Alelyunas and Katherine Marcenkewicz are from Lithuania.

So that leaves her maternal side only for possible Cherokee. The reference to mother being a Zen student are possibly true, since Buddhism and a "bohemian lifestyle" are mentioned in her obit.

But I see no sign indicating Cherokee. I only see white in census. Also her mother's obit does not say Cherokee.

Quote
ALELYUNAS, Carol B.1922-2008

Carol B. Alelyunas of Corbett died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, at age 86.

She was born Carol Jane Bundy on March 12, 1922, in Chicago. The only child of Francis and Carroll Bundy, she was proud to be a descendent of Lucas Schermerhorn, a captain in the Revolutionary Army.

Carol graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where she was recognized as a promising young poet.

While sketching in Central Park she met her future husband, Paul Alelyunas. They shared a Bohemian lifestyle in New York as struggling artists. Six children later, and after living in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Hollywood, Calif., they landed in Corbett to do their own version of homesteading.

Carol earned her master's degree in social work from Portland State University. She spent many years with Portland social services agencies and had a special interest in working with the elderly.

Carol pursued numerous activities and interests including the arts, travel and Buddhism throughout her life. Her travels included trips to Europe, Nepal, India and Bali, often accompanied by her children. As a member of the Gresham Arts Council, she exhibited her work in watercolor and monotype in shows and coffee shops in the Portland area.

Quote
She is survived by her children, Catherine Alelyunas of Crestone, Colo.; Peter Alelyunas of Norwood, Colo.; Edward Alelyunas of Albuquerque, N.M.; Carl Alelyunas of West Linn; Lino Lonsdorf of Downingtown, Pa.; and Robert Alelyunas of Wilmington, Del.

I don't see anything to verify this "my grandfather was full blood Cherokee" on her mother's side.

On her mother's obit "she was proud to be a descendent of Lucas Schermerhorn, a captain in the Revolutionary Army"- this likely is Captain Lucas Jacob Schermerhorn, born 10-15-1732, died 1787, served New York Col Kilian Van Rensselaer, 3rd company, 6th Regiment. His wife was Wyntje Fitzgerald.

One of her students, Dawn Smelser

Quote
She has had 5 years of formal training in Classical Yoga, including 3 years of training in the esoteric tradition of Yoga under the guidance of renowned Clairvoyant, Lino Aleylunas.

https://thecenterhya.com/the-eightfold-path-with-dawn-smelser/
------------

Back in 2007 Alelyunas did not identify as having any Cherokee or other Native American ancestry.
https://web.archive.org/web/20071129234003/http://divinelightministries.com:80/_wsn/page2.html

She did say she had studied Native American Shamanism with "Gloria Twofeather, Brant Secunda, Ed McGaa, Buck Ghosthorse and Micheal Harner".

By 2012 she added a "Cherokee grandmother".
She said she studied with "Native American Teachers: Gloria Twofeather, Brant Secunda, Ed McGaa, Buck Ghosthorse, Michael Harner, Navajo Medicine Woman Linda Ross, Navajo Medicine Man Johnson Dennison, Hopi Medicine Woman RoAnna, Elk Dreamer, David Singing Bear and Uqualla."

The list of people she learned from is mostly a who's who of frauds:

"Wallace Black Elk (Lakota); Ed McGaa (Eagle Man - Lakota); Buck Ghosthorse (Lakota); Gloria Two Feathers (Lakota); Brant Secunda,a Huichol shaman; Linda Ross, a profound Navaho medicine woman; Johnson Denison, esteemed Navaho medicine man; David Singing Bear (Cherokee); Rowanna (head of the Hopi medicine society for women); Uqualla (Havasupai ceremonial leader); Michael Harner (an anthropologist who studied shamanism with the Salish tribe in Washington); Sun Bear (Crow)"

We have threads on most of them:
WBE (not his actual name, and no relation to the well known Black Elk)
McGaa, a lawyer posing as a healer
Mattern/Ghosthorse, the white imposter and former KKK member
Secunda, who is white
Quintana/DSB ,who played a part in the mass deaths in Sedona
Uqualla, who is more of a showman
Harner, the disgraced EX anthropologist disavowed by his profession.

What's interesting is her getting Laduke/Sun Bear's tribe wrong. He was an ex actor, Ojibwe posing as teaching Lakota ways to white hippies. He's also been dead a quarter century. It makes me suspect she's just pulling names off the net.

Johnson Dennison is an obvious big exception. He's a well known traditionalist, trying to get western medicine to integrate Navajo healing into its practices. I'd guess she may have encountered him during her time as a social worker.

There are two possibles for Linda Ross. One is much like Dennison. Another claims to be a psychic surgeon.
http://philadelphia.eventful.com/events/linda-ross-navajo-healer-and-psychic-surgeon-me-/E0-001-028073864-9
But that's the only for profit event I could find on her.

Having an Indonesian wife, I know they don't call their healers "shamans." They call it simply traditional medicine or healers. Most Indonesians are Muslim, most Balinese are Hindus. There are older traditions like Aluk To Dolo and Kejawen. Pretty obvious she chose the shame on name for marketing purposes.

Moved to Frauds, though there's still much that can be researched on her.

The "Elk Dreamer" she mentions here: https://web.archive.org/web/20120828233417/http://divinelightministries.com:80/id2.html

may be George Sanchez http://www.blogtalkradio.com/prophecykeepers/2016/04/25/from-the-heart-of-george-sanchez-aka-elk-dreamer

Quote
George wrote:" I was born in Calexico, California and grew up in the Salton Sea area. Certified transactional analyst. My mother is Yaqui and Mexican, and my father was Arapaho, Okie, and Mexican. Now, I'm part of the people tribe. I have helped thousands cure themselves. I moved to Yuma AZ in 1972. I graduated that year, and attended various colleges. My wife and I attend several types of Indian ways. I am recognized by various Chiefs "

------------

She says she was very active in the Rajneesh cult http://www.divinelightministries.com/lino-s-spiritual-resume.html . She appears to still be a follower. This is a red flag, the cult is very destructive.

Some of her Rajneesh claims do not sound right, but I won't go into great detail, don't want to help her learn how to sound more legit.

Why doesn't she give her sannyasin name?

She claims she was a bodyguard. What specific kind of gun did she carry?

-------------

She also claims involvement with various gurus in India. She says her introduction was through Andrew Cohen. Cohen is not highly regarded. His own mother wrote a "scathing history of her son’s ascent to guruhood and her disenchantment with him".

-------------

Lino Alelyunas' offerings are practically endless, they include "Celtic Shamanism"

Quote
Explore the magic and mystery of Indigenous European practises.  Claim back your psychic and magical powers.  Remember how to see Fairies, and into the dimensions of Elemental Beings.  Connect to the Triple Moon Goddess through ceremonies and rituals of White Magic that bring healing, abundance, love and harmony.  Also learn about aromatherapy and flower essences.  Included are authentic Celtic rituals for the equinoxes and solstices.

I have been given the honorific title of Medicine Woman by my mentor Linda Ross, a Navajo Medicine Woman who is the most extraordinary Healer I have ever met.  It is a honor.  This is not a title you can take yourself in the Native American community, it has to be given to you, and usually after many, many years of apprenticeship to another Medicine Person.

http://directory.sacredwomensbusiness.com/products/shamanic-healing-with-white-star-36

This Linda Ross has worked as a Traditional Healer/Counselor at Chinle Indian Health Service. She has two Facebook pages and is FB friends with Alelyunas. Photos match the one Alelyunas uses.

Other than this http://philadelphia.eventful.com/events/linda-ross-navajo-healer-and-psychic-surgeon-me-/E0-001-028073864-9 I don't see any other signs of her being called a "psychic surgeon".

Bolding added.

"Indigenous European" is code among white supremacists, both in Europe and America for, well, white supremacists. It's very common among white supremacist pretendians who are trying to fool people that what they are doing is European, when it's really just stolen.

The pushback to educate well-meaning but ignorant people not to claim appropriated or made-up stuff is "Indigenous European", or to call themselves "Indigenous European" if they're normal Euros or European diaspora - if they don't want to be seen as Nazis - has been telling, as some have dug in deeper and openly allied with white supremacists in order to displace actual Indigenous people. At this point, any white person making that claim knows who they're aligning with.

"The Triple Moon Goddess", "White Magic", "Elemental Beings" and the rest of this newage blather is not Celtic, either. It's neo-Wicca or full-on newage, or the new age of marketing where they've become one and the same. This is the usual insulting lie where appropriators think that if they call it "Celtic" or "European" no one will know they're a pretendian. All mixed up with chakras, fake pipe ceremony, and various fake religions. Total Fraud.

Oh, and you can't "claim back your psychic powers" if you weren't born with them. This person knows nothing about the traditional beliefs of any of the cultures she vultures from. Hideous.

I listened to this video that she and her husband Robert Belew Lonsdorf did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGjNsgu_rNM

She says her mother was "half Cherokee". She claims that she herself worked intensely for over 30 years with many Native American teachers.

Much of what she says is confusing, for instance she says that "shaman" is a European word, that Native Americans do not call themselves that, that is it is a Siberian word for Siberian people. Yet she has also said that she is Cherokee and is a shaman.

She uses the word "gypsy" inaccurately.

She says she remembers past lives and that she was usually a spiritual leader. She says she does psychic surgery, remote viewing, and is an eclectic practitioner of anything she has been drawn to.

-----------
She was born in 1960. On Facebook she states that she is from Corbett, Oregon.

In 2015, Margaret Lonsdorf and Robert Belew Lonsford filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. They filed as joint debtors, spouse. Her alternate name Margaret Alelyunas. United States Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District Pennsylvania. Case 15-13094-sr

He is listed as employed, working as a tour director in Bali. She is listed as not employed, 0 income.

Yet around that time and before, she actively worked to sell: ceremonies, blessings, weddings, tours, healings in person or long distance, readings, retreats, workshops. https://web.archive.org/web/20150321115710/http://www.divinelightministries.com:80/id27.html

Customers could even add a "sun dance" "to your group or retreat for a special blessing."

As Lino Alelyunas she had a non profit corporation in Washington state called Inner Light, that has been inactive since 2000. She now has an active non profit in Downington, Pennsylvania called Divine Light Ministries, since 2004.

She claims "my grandfather was full blood Cherokee" on her mother's side.

But her mother's obit does not mention Cherokee.

Uploaded here are her mother's birth certificate and marriage. Everyone is listed as white.
