Introduction into The Seven Sacred Containers of Self Identity

Andrew Ecker

This is a guided process into the ancient wisdom of introduction based on the Apache Introduction system. The Sacred Seven process will expand your consciousness and open you to another world of infinite connection and restoration. Although this teaching is at the core of Apache spiritual path Andrew Ecker has created vehicle that is applicable to anyone that wishes to expand into a deeper understanding of self . This process will explain the wisdom and technology behind the Sacred Seven, why we introduce ourselves and reconnect you to your ancestors in way that will harness a power in your everyday life, moving you to live more of an abundant human experience. Please bring 7 small stones of your choice as a representation of yourself, your mother, your father, mother’s mother, you mother;’s father & your father’s mother & your father’s father, the Sacred 7 which will also correlate with the 7 Sacred directions, the 4 in the physical and the 3 in the spiritual.

Andrew Ecker's partner is Monica Patton. They run Drumming Sounds https://www.facebook.com/DrummingSounds/  http://www.drummingsounds.com/

Andrew Ecker Linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/in/andrew-ecker-a5485441

Monica Patton is listed as a "wisdomkeeper" on a redlightning.org page http://redlightning.org/bio-page/

Both she and Andrew Ecker are listed in the "Power of Prayer, Standing Rock to Black Rock" booklet, he as "Apache-Irish".

Ecker says he is a "grandson of Cresencia 'Cora' Alvarez an Apache Curandrea 'Herbalist and Healer' from the southwest".  http://reinhabitingthevillage.com/andrew-ecker/

But he does not list this person in his rapid fire family genealogy given in the video link Defend the Sacred posted above.

As far as I could make out, the genealogy he gave is (not in this order) mother Cathy Lindsey, father Gil Ecker, mother's mother Elma Gallegos, mother's father Leroy Lindsey, father's mother Evelyn Lindsey "Irish Woman", father's father Wayne Ecker "Algonquin".

I don't even see an Irish origin for him, and maybe not an Apache one. Lindsey is an English or Scottish name, sometimes from the later Scots in Ireland. Ecker is a German name. The Apache may have come from Alvarez or Gallegos. But he's claiming Lipan, who are mostly on the Mescalero rez in NM. There is an unrecognized Lipan band in south TX.

"Curandrea" is likely supposed to be curandera. But that's Mexican tradition, not Apache, Catholic prayer and ritual mixed with pan NDN, mostly Mesoamerican.

He's got Apache sacred directions wrong. The seven directions are the original four plus three more that are also geographic, not "three in the spiritual."

Most of his actual teachers are mentioned at Reinhabiting the Village:
"the amazing training of his mentors The DRUM , Air Water Fire Earth ,Christine Stevens, Arthur Hull , Jim Boneau , TINY Hanna, Dr. Barry Bittman, Linda Rettinger ,And Teddy Begay."

Most of what he does seem to be along those lines, vague claims of being neotribal or that drumming and music can heal. Seems like he goes a lot to senior centers to get them to drum. And I think it can definitely raise their spirits and help them to be more active. The far fetched claim of actually healing cancer is very irresponsible. I think he's partly well intentioned, but makes mistakes.

It's the sign of the dabbler and fantasist. They don't dig too deep because they don't really want to know. Many Americans who think they're of Irish heritage are actually English and German. Name changes happened frequently among colonists, especially among those who were transported here as criminals. The idea that the Irish continued to be oppressed long after this was true has made fantasists imagine all sorts of bizarre things about the Irish. Nothing this guy is doing is remotely traditional to any intact or ancient culture. He's just another newage, hippie exploiter. With a name like Ecker, yes, he's probably predominantly German. Like all those other hobbyists.

From what I can see, Andrew Ecker on his website in 2014 did not identify as Apache and Irish. https://web.archive.org/web/20140911213820/http://drummingsounds.com/About_Andrew.html

I'll paste in his entire About Andrew from 2014, worthwhile to compare with how he presents himself now.

2. Avoid Exploiters That Feed Off NoDAPL.

These people, sites, and groups divert funds, time, and effort from NoDAPL for their own profit or self promotion:

Jose and Laralyn Rivera AKA Joseph and Laralyn Riverwind, lead a phony tribe and are part of an anti-Muslim hate group, Act For America.

Jim Petruzzi AKA Greywolf falsely claims to be a Lakota healer, diverts money for NoDAPL.

If You Love Native Americans on Facebook- Sells t-shirts falsely claiming to be NoDAPL

Maria Torres profile on Facebook- More fake t-shirts, claims Native, actually Vietnamese.

TheIndigenousPeoples.com-Sells knockoffs of Native t-shirt artists.

NativeThing.com-Also sells knockoffs made in China or Vietnam.
