A site search doesn't turn him up here. Saw him mentioned on another site and went digging.

He seems to like to layer medicines he has no business messing with, nuage sewage, and recreational drugs into a big ol' sh*t--er, Reality sandwich. His "Shamanism" page:

His "Indigenous Cultures" page:

There are "Entheogens" and "Ayahuasca" tags too.

He doesn't seem to be claiming to be Native, but he sure is mixing and matching. You can attend an event called "Buddha, Jesus and Ayahuasca."

And this "Rainforest Plant Medicine Council Retreat" is "blessed with the participation of Secoya traditional elders, who are time honored graduated plant masters and who will be leading intimate ceremonies directly intended towards wellness and renewal of mind body and soul, according to ancient celestial practices."

Is he less problematic than I suspect, or am I the last person on Earth to hear of this guy...?

Problematic is putting it mildly. Mixes and matches just about anything he comes across, African and NDN beliefs, drug use, twinkie people like McKenna. The wiki page says he claims to hear the voice of Quetzalcoatl, the Aztec god.

Here he is selling ceremony at a spirchul tourism site.

They say to contact for the cost, but mention a stay is $100 a day. Keep in mind this is in South America where you can find a nice hotel for $5-10 a day.

One writer calls him a big practical joker or someone whose used too many drugs. He also points Pinchbeck bears some responsibility for the suicide of two of his followers.

Note in the comments where he gets into a debate with a Pinchbeck follower who is, like Pinchbeck, a 9-11 conspiracy nut. Pinchbeck himself responds and admits the possibility he is delusional.

Lots of crop circle nonsense there too.

Here's his "shamanism" book site:
