Sioux words for dog drags

Hi all -

This may not make much sense to you, and is definitely not on the topic of frauds, but...

Don't the Sioux (Lakota, Dakota, etc) words for the dog draws used to haul tipis, and that are usually called by the French word "travois", sound roughly like "wikewa"?

Thanks for your help on this one. For me this its kind of one of those mental glitches that hang all of us up from time to time.
