Tansi;

It is too bad that the "Dead Dog Cafe" radio show, on CBC is no longer on!  I used to listen regularly.

This show, with Aboriginal cast and writers was a good way to take a laughing look at Native Culture today, as well as seeing stereotypes shown in a hilarious way.

Damn! They just shut the site down yesterday.

Dead Dog Cafe was a great show, one of the funniest shows I ever heard!

Probably a victim of the CBC broadcasting cutbacks.

You can find a working Indian Name Generator at http://www.generatorland.com/generators/indian_name_gl.php. (my favorite: 'Farting Danger' of the Hukabamboo Tribe).

The WayBack Machine (archive.org) has archived copies of the show's site, but due to the limitations of what the WayBack Machine actually archives, the name generator there doesn't work :-(

When I  get reincarnated as a future Cherokee princess I will  be called Stands With Crystals - a gopher whipsered this  in my ear last year when I was taking a nap in the park - look for the answers in nature, I thought you guys already knew that

"Farting Anteater"
"Messes with Butterfly"

This is the funniest thing I've seen in awhile.

Just combine any of the following words:

Color
Blue
Green
Rainbow
Red
White

Animal
Buffalo
Deer
Eagle
Elk
Hawk
Horse
Raven
Wolf

Other stuff
Feather
Flower
Moon
Sky
Star
Storm
Sun
Thunder
Water
Wing

It is meaningful. In Lakota it translates to "Mary Sue".

But you forgot "Wind"!  :D

"Dances With Difficulty"

I've seen that one on YouTube.

- "Swims with Smoke"

(Though "Blue Buffalo Feather" is pretty impressive, too. *snerk*)

Take any noun and any verb ending in er. It not only sounds Indian, but also Elvish and Jedi. Bonus if it makes no goddamn sense. Like Cloud Dancer or something equally stupid.
