Yes, believe it or not there is a guy running around Ohio and Pennsylvania who calls himself "Limping Snow Wolf" and claims to be part Lakota and is the messenger of the Hopi prophecies.

Was in Beaver Isle MI a couple years ago. Name is Bob Stoup, goes by name of "Grandfather Limping Snow Wolf". Claims Native American and German descent. Supposably an ordained Deacon of the Presbyterian Church. Claims member of AIM  Goes around exploiting Hopi Prophecy.

Some accounts claim he's simply Native, though he claims to be expert on Hopi prophecies.

This other account says he's Seneca. Go to page 8.

Friday, June 18
7:30 - 10:00 Keynote speaker; Grandfather Limping Snow Wolf, "The Teachings & Ceremony of the Sacred Pipe"

There's nothing in any of those accounts of either the Hopi prophecies or AIM's early history that you couldn't find in a book or online.

Robert Stoup claims to be the Eastern Runner of the Hopi Prophesy sanctioned by Hotevilla, via connections to a hopi family named Red Fawn an Mato...sorry never did get there last names.
Also claims the western or southern runner was a fellow named Scott Walking Buffalo (Pawnee)

I contacted Hopi Tribal offices a few yrs ago and was told a "cease and desist" letter would be mailed to his addy in PA. It seems they were also interested in stopping Walking Buffalo. So anyone running across him may want to forward that info.

According to Mr. Stoup himself he learned sweatlodge from Ed Mcgaa in a class at Lilydale NY. Pipe ceremony also.

He used to run around the local powwow circuit with the Redbird singers and drum group.
(Pa and Ohio)

He has always claimed German an Seneca blood altho to my knowledge always shyed clear of hanging out his shingle anywhere near the Seneca.
He hangs out at small unrecognized gatherings (hobbiest powwows) or nuage events, where he can't be called on his crap by folks with  a way to verify his claims, who have ties to native communities.
The Hopi asked me back then for any copies of printed material concerning speaking engagements, but Bob has gotten smarter about finding ways not to be prosecuted.
So anyone with a flyer might want to send it to them.

Found this. He's a ceremony seller.

"7:30 The Teachings & Ceremony of the Sacred Pipe, Grandfather Limping Snow Wolf is known nationally as a Native American traditional spiritual elder. He is a carrier of the sacred pipe, and keeper of the Hopi Prophecy. He currently resides in Ohio. Some of his teachers were Grandmother Twyla Nitsch, Ed Mcgaa, & Scott Walking Buffalo. His Ancestors came from the Seneca, Lenne Lenape, & German People. Grandfather Wazia Tahunka He Osnee, will share with us the wonderful story of how White Buffalo Calf Woman carried the sacred Buffalo Calf Pipe to the Lakota people. He will discuss how to properly use the pipe as well as how to properly respect the pipe. Please join with us to find out if it is truly magical. Is it a peace pipe? Remember that all discussions are the opinion of one teacher, using the knowledge that his elders passed to him. You may be offered the opportunity to participate in a pipe ceremony at the end of his program.

10:30 The Owl Spirit Song & Dance, Rebecca Medicine Owl (Ojibway) & White Owl Woman (Potawatomi) Share with great respect the Owl's powerful healing medicine of transformation as gifted to them through their prayers, visions & dreams....

11:15 Sweat Lodge Ceremony with Grandfather Snow Wolf, Participation is limited due to the size of the lodge. Please contact the Center to reserve a space, or ask questions. (Women's traditional dress of an ankle length skirt is honored.)

More Red Road experiences on Sat. & Sun., Teachings from the Medicine Wheel, Tipi & Sweat Lodge."

No explanation of why an alleged Seneca is claiming to teach Hopi and Lakota prophecy and ceremony. That "Center of Light" seems to be mostly vaguely Hindu teachers leading it.

He was peddling his teachings in Beaver Island Michigan a few years ago. The local paper claims he's an ordained Presbyterian deacon. See page 14.

That might be something worth checking. I doubt the church would care to be associated with a fraud. Or the claim might itself be phony.

We likely will move the thread and close it. Does anyone have an obituary? I say this only because we've had cases before where someone was said to have passed on but turned out not to.

This was all I've found, a mention in the local paper. The May 2011 issue.
