Has anyone read this book? I saw it referred to in this BBC news story:

DNA testing has uncovered British descendents of Native Americans brought to the UK centuries ago as slaves, translators or tribal representatives. Genetic analysis turned up two white British women with a DNA signature characteristic of American Indians.

Haven't read that one Barnaby, but one that might interest you with similar info is Proffesor Jack Forbes' book, The American Discovery of Europe. Prof. Forbes is, I believe, a Native Californian. A professor for 40 years and author of many books.
