This is a link to two good articles , which warn Native people , especially urban
Natives to be careful of some of their own people who have succumbed to the
temptations of prestige and money , who are not fit to guide them .

I guess people have always had some vulnerability to greed and ego , but
contact with the worshipful ignorance and hunger of New Age consumerism seems
to increase the temptations and has sunk the possibilities for corruption to a
new low .  One more way , the cross pollination of New Age consumerism with
traditional cultures is unwittingly damaging Native people and cultures .
