The "clairvoyant's" rationalization for not foreseeing the slap will be to claim the interviewer acted on impulse. But he should have known about the whole thing ahead of time. ::)

Hm: if you foresee that you'll be slapped and thus refuse to appear, does that demonstrate your ability? It's not falsifiable, so it doesn't.
