Eh, it was a learning experience.
I read a great book called The Guru Papers: Masks of Authoritarian Power, which helped me come to terms with some of the underlying psychological dynamics that were going on. Feeling much more at peace with the whole thing. Later this month I am off to see my real teacher.
I remember one time, I talked about an area of tension that wouldn't go away with Luzia, and she said that we should put a crystal on it. That should have been a wake up call. I don't think quartz crystals are actually a part of any real spirituality, Native American or otherwise. It's distinctly a California New Agey thing. That's basically what she was doing. Take a mish mash of New Agey stuff, throw in hallucinogens, a little actual red blood, and a fake red accent, and tell any idiot who happens to be around that they were sent to Luzia by God.
In the future, I have resolved to not be that idiot.

It is hard to imagine people saying the things they have regarding Luzia. I have been seeing Luzia
for about 6 years and only have the highest regard for her. If her style, her words, her reverance
to Santé Diane turn you off, then leave it at that. No character attacks. She has spent the better
part of her life devoted to helping people understand themselves better. She has a source, which
she pulls from but it is all very authentic. Perhaps some folks just aren't prepared for what she has
to offer.
