Luzia Krull

Manicman:
I went with her to the post office where she picked up Santo Daime at one point. The more I reflect on my experiences with her, the more angry I am. Luzia basically tried to shove it down my throat that she was my elder, my guru, my therapist, my shaman and my spiritual mother all in one package. She knew that God had sent me to her, and she used all sorts of verbal manipulation and circular reasoning to defend this nonsense. At one point we even did some sort of ritual to consult the spirits, which I wasn't a particular believer in. But during the ritual a spirit told me that I was supposed to have gone elsewhere to pursue the awakening that I am going through. When I told this to Luzia (repeatedly, she wanted to ignore it the first few times), she used all sorts of games to try and get out of what was implied. One time she said "I thought we both agreed the spirits brought you to me and the Daime." I had never agreed to any such thing. She tried to say that I had not honestly talked to a spirit, that the spirit was lying to me, that I didn't understand what part of space time it was referring to (she seriously said that). Luzia behaved in a way somewhat similar to a cult leader. My only comfort is that I got out without any serious drama, and she doesn't seem to be all that successful at her manipulative behavior.

debbieredbear:
Sometimes healing from this kind of abuse involves anger. I won't tell you how to deal with it, that would be something someone you know and respect may be able to help you with. However, channeling some of the anger towards exposing this fraud and abuser is a good thing. She needs to be stopped.

Manicman:
Sounds great! I've been trying to tell myself that the fact that I got out without getting sucked in further should be enough, but the truth is I do wanna make sure that other people do not fall victim to her bulshit. Forget shamanism and such, the way she dumped on me in a boundary dissolved state, the woman should not even be allowed to call herself a therapist. What resources are there outside of this site to expose people like this?

There is an active message board http://forum.rickross.com/ on http://www.rickross.com/ which is  "An Internet archive of information about cults, destructive cults, controversial groups and movements." Lots of good info on the site including Warning Signs http://www.rickross.com/warningsigns.html, and info on abusive and controlling relationships ( not just large groups).

You could look into the local alternative press, especially for investigative journalists, then see if anyone is interested in the story.

Luzia Krull's site is now at http://www.psycho-spiritualintegration.com/

Under Shamanic Practices is:

--- Quote ---I am authorized by the State of California to conduct social ceremonies.
--- End quote ---

If by "social ceremonies" she includes marriages, this statement is misleading. As a minister "ordained or invested by a denomination" she can do marriages in California. There is no registration, no filing of credentials with clerk, no central registry of members of clergy.  The state does not verify credentials.

So, technically, yeah, she is authorized to do marriages in California. As can any other minister/clergy etc. of a denomination. But this isn't a special thing, she was not examined by the State of California and then authorized to conduct social ceremonies. She just happens to fit the requirements.

"I am authorized by the State of California to conduct social ceremonies." sounds more elite and special than "Under California law, I along with other ministers of denominations, can conduct marriage ceremonies".
