Paul Olivas AKA Paul Semu AKA Semu Huaute

This is of interest since there are groups and individuals claiming Chumash who are not and much of it is based on this man, born Paul Olivas.
The article below mentions it is a working draft and asks it not be copied or reposted. Some of the more important points:
Olivas claimed to be the last fullblood Chumash medicine man. Actually he was 1/32, and his DIB was 5/32.
He made up much of his claimed life, like inventing an ancestor killed by whites who was actually entirely Spanish ancestry.
Craig Carpenter is familiar to some of his for pushing falsehoods about the Hopi. He was Olivas's biggest promoter.
