Has Anyone heard of this group, I believe the leader is Larry Cooper?

Where are they located? Is this that group in the DC area?

Tracing Native American bloodlines and calculating the percentage of Native American blood is important in seeking grants for college and other services.

Standing Bear Council formed in September and is based in Hamilton.

Standing Bear Council officers include Cooper; Sarah Hicks, vice chair; Dona Herr, treasurer; Barnett; Paula Buckert, publicity, grant writer and photographer; native advisors Brad and Susan Stanton, Stacy Hagmeier, Johnnie Bressette and Jeff Jones; and elders, Ken and Judy Merschbrock and Emily Cooper.

Council membership represents seven nations: Chickamaka Cherokee, Cherokee, Lakota, Chippewa, Mohawk, Seneca and Ojibwa.

The Winter Gathering at Argyle will feature Rain Song Ministry, Christian ministry in the Native American way. Rain Song Ministry is worldwide and visits prisons. Members play cedar flutes, guitars, drums and several additional instruments.
