Thanks. This confirms the worst suspicions about him, seeing him work with many confirmed frauds:

Dane Larsen, one of Fisher/Yawahoo's disciples.
"Ian Xel Lungold" pseudo-Mayan.
Steve McFadden, more of a promoter of frauds than one himself.
Plus another "rainbow warrior" wannabe.
And Darrel Whitewolf, an alleged Cherokee living in Australia.
I'm moving this to Frauds. More research needs to be done on the others.
Title: Bennie LeBeau AKA Blue Thunder
Post by: Tsisqua on March 05, 2008, 09:18:10 pm
I received this earlier.....

Posted by Sandie: This man goes by Blue Thunder or Bennie LeBeau and claims to be a member of the Eastern Shoshone Band out of Wind River. He's not a member. He's lying and he's selling ceremony and no one on the rez backs him up......that' s why he's over here running his scam in the east........those in the east need to be warned about this fraud.

I looked him up on Google and came up with this:

Bennie E LeBeau, Sr., Elder, spiritual leader and advisor, is an enrolled tribal member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe, Wind River Indian Reservation, Ft Washakie, Wyoming. He has many years of experience in indigenous tradition and culture with the Eastern Shoshone Tribe. Through the encouragement of his tribal elders, he studied Cultural Anthropology and Applied Indigenous Studies at Northern Arizona University, located in Flagstaff, AZ. Studying methods of communication at NAU, which now has allowed Mr. LeBeau to speak from a truly Native American perspective. An indigenous viewpoint of what needs changed in the educational institutional classrooms across America and the world.

Mr. LeBeau is a member of the Spiritual Elders of Mother Earth, an organization of indigenous prophecy seed carriers of North America [http://www.spiritualelders.org]. In this capacity, he helps educate Indigenous Nations and other cultures on the significance of sacred sites and the indigenous prophecies. His present emphasis is: To inform all cultures of the importance of protecting and preserving all indigenous sacred sites within the United States of American and across the world.
To educated of the great significance of sacred rock art sites as sacred sites across the America's and the world to those who need help interpreting the landscapes of these sacred sites. And, to stress the importance of the language written within stone in the many Garden of Eden's (the original homelands of Indigenous Nations) that are currently and rapidly disappearing around the world due to uncontrolled land development.

Native American rock art sites, as well as other sites around the world provide a tremendous amount of important knowledge and wisdom, which can be combined and re-taught to other traditions and cultures of the world. The wisdom given in dreamtime to Mr. LeBeau and by many Elders of the Shoshone and other Indigenous Nations has given him the tools and a foundation that allow him to interpret many rock art texts and the pictures written in stone [petroglyphs- rock art]. These rock art images explain historical events that have happened in the past, can happen in the present or are about to happen in the future. Additionally, medicine people [shamans, priests, priestesses, knowledgeable men/women] find important ceremonial explanations in ancient rock art.  These sacred sites help us to re-member ancient healing ceremonies on Mother Earth and of the universe for 'all things' that have been lost through the ages. Existing in together for what has happened in the past still exits today by our actions in the present as we carry negative aspect of history forward.  This means we can heal all that has happened for the future in purity, with integrity, love, peace and trust for all nations for the future.

Mr. LeBeau believes there is a great need to undertake a thoughtful visionary look at all sacred sites as part of a spiritual learning experience to regain harmony, not only for oneself but also for all things that we have a relationship with on Mother Earth working bring her back into harmony. Bring back the rain, snow and springs for all of creation in purity. There is a need for wisdom of the tangible and intangible spiritual aspects of all life on our mother, the Earth. Our true mother the earth gives us life as our Father within the Central Sun as the creator. The Universe is creation itself known as the mysterious one to everyone across this planet. The Truth has been written in the stone writing our original instructions of great visions of the past, moving into the future that is present now.  Also taught in the Indigenous Nations of the America's Creation Stories is what is written in the Rock Art across the world, the sacred sites. It's direction for mankind tells us how to stay in balance and in harmony with nature and all conscious life upon our sacred Mother the Earth.  Working with the universal laws, nature's laws and not man made laws which has deharmonized the harmony that once resided on the surface of Mother Earth.  Now is the time in re-educating and asking for this consideration of the Earth Wisdom for the many cultures of the world.

A relative of mine, who knows Bennie, says he does have heritage from Wind River Shoshones. Said she was unsure if he was enrolled or not, but his sister IS enrolled.

I just received a lengthy rebuttal on LeBeau from a Marcine Quenzer, full of fluffy talk and pics. I told her to send it to Al. He may well be enrolled Shoshone but that alone wouldn't mean he isn't a sellout. Wondering what will come of this...

Yes, I read and actually felt pretty sad afterwards. A long letter by an older white woman convinced he is "the real deal" as she kept repeating. She claims he doesn't ask for money but does take "love offerings" and that she basically gave him every cent she could when Lebeau "downloaded" on her.

The photos are something else. If Lebeau is actually Shoshone, he might be of very low BQ. I had a hard time picking him out of the photos from all the white followers standing around him. The good news is that his following seems to be pretty small. No more than 8 or 10 people in any photo.

Other strange things:
Claiming they visited a "Brazilian temple in California."
A ceremony that has a pretty mangled version of Iroquois Longhouse traditions mixed with making a medicine wheel.
Numerology and Hindu beliefs abut chakras mixed into what he teaches.

I don't remember being so sad after reading a letter for a long time. This woman believes that Lebeau and co can cure her daughter of emphysema and other diseases. She has devoted most of her time and money to him for two years. I believe Lebeau spotted her as extremely vulnerable because he told her upon meeting "You are the one I am here to meet." That's much like the tactic many other dubious characters use, eg Twyla Nitsche.

Quenzer is a white artist doing Native themed art. Her site has her dressed as NDN and her bio shows that to be a lifelong...hobby? Practice?
http://www.marcinequenzer.com/

Others Lebeau worked with that need more research:
Ono-nahtse-gowa
Dawn Hancock
Andree Morgana

Anyway, Quenzer had no light to shed on if he's actually Shoshone or not.

Subject: BlueThunder Speaks of Peace....

Greetings my Fellow Brothers and Sisters of New Age Fraud...

I pray that our Many Indigenous Nations walk in peace and over come the prejudices and judgments at hand.  Many of our teachings of our Indigenous Nations teach to pray for those that we do not get along with or disagree with and if we can not say something good about one another, we were not to do that at all.  And if we did we would teach each other resentment, pain, anguish, anger, and hatred in gossiping and untruths would occur and then we would cause much unrest within the lands...I send this message and do not hold anyone in anger in my heart or thoughts for all that is teaches what to do or not to do...2012 is coming fast and healing is our top priority for many individuals and groups in all Nations...

I am a younger elder of my Eastern Shoshone Nation in Wyoming, 59 this year and am an enrolled member being born on my homelands on the Wind River.  I have many elders older than I am who agree with me and others that do not.  I have never called myself a medicine man of my people and others have in writings and that is there choice, I have no control over the media and those who write information on their websites, newspapers and news reports on the radio. Many have done these things without my approval.

I speak from my heart and deliver this message in good faith, speaking my truth.  Our thoughts are power and thoughts hurt Mother Earth Environments, the Winds, Water, Soils and Fire are in pain for the words of negativity or gentleness in positivity enter into all that is within creation creating what we say and do.  Many wonder where the Tornado's, Floods, Earthquakes, and Volcanoes, and fires are made from and I ask them to open their heart to the wisdom and knowledge each and everyone carries and to remember what this mean, . May peace flow with all that is in our words and actions upon Mother Earth, May the Great Spirit and Mother Earth Continue to Bless Us All ...

I send this message in Great Faith, I am not upset with any individual, individuals or groups for if I do then I hurt all of creation around me and I practice my way of my Ancestors and not to hurt Mother Earth's Creation with negativity.

I speak from my heart for All Our Nations of Mother Earth to Honor Each Other For We Are All Related in Peace for We Shall Inherit the Right to Be on the New Earth Arriving Soon, for those who move forward in peace, love and harmony honoring each other for each other. Aho..I BlueThunder have Spoken From my Heart...Aho!!!

BlueThunder, Eastern Shoshone, Wind River Indian Reservation, Fort Washakie, Wyoming, January 28th, 2009

Message Given on 4th October 2008 From the Holy Ones – Spoken Truth

We work through many, peace walks nowhere on soils across many oceans.  Each Nation across the world places the heart in the hands of the words written back through time.

Wait for the right people to arise from smoke taken within, and all loses, eyes closed to the new ones who step forth amongst races and cultures across ancient lands, future existence will begin to change if you wake the heart from within the body.  Mind controls what can be seen, if the veil is lifted the light shines once more with the gift of sight for each of you.

Man, woman grows weak from within. The child lives through those who challenge many words given, each child will shine the light of nothing if nothing changes.  Many words known to our hearts, songs are sung through prayers of ancient Keepers, those words sung, we listen to.  We bring the gift of courage to those whose eyes begin to open wide.  The lands carry the pain of many fallen upon, within, courage of commitment bears the hands of openness; Judgment shown within all Nations upon which many words spoken with anger, brings forward the light of darkness.

Each child embraces the light of innocence.  Teach those of tomorrow the ways through the deceit and deception of mankind. Challenge not those words of judgement, peace within will bear the strength of many. Those who walk amongst the Angels of Darkness, growth will become full of emptiness.   Share with every color of every Nation the joys of peace, balance and harmony, those who share words of ancient mouths with only the ones of own color and culture break the balance of tomorrow.  Nothing shared will bring the gain of nothingness.

Many old ones still carry the Shields of Sacredness deep within the heart, each shield carried through time releases pureness of Ancient Ones beliefs.  Now is the time to awaken those words carried deep within the many shields of The Holy Ones.  Each step through time changes through man’s growth.  Wisdom Carriers need now the growth of the people who walk upon Mother Earth’s skin will arise to carry together the light of truth and glory for the child that grows within and upon the soils of our Mother’s flesh.

Many ways are encircled by the sacredness of what was. Many broken arrows fallen upon lands upon, within the open wounds of those fallen arrows still remain.  Each one who walks upon many lands, wish to change the way mankind’s angers have achieved the imbalance brought to Mother Earth’s beating heart.  Each one carries forward many great visions of the heart and soul, Keepers of today need to bring forth the hoop of forgiveness.  The truth will shine over all lands across all Nations of the world of today once teachings of many cultures are opened to those who wish to gain the knowledge and understanding of what has been carried forward through time.

Peace lies deep within the hearts of everyone, whether angers, destruction or misunderstandings shadow the truth.  Before time exists no more, open the hand, release the heart, cleanse the soul walk free once more upon the soils of your lands.  Realization of what has been written from then, now and what is to come will bring forward the growth of new beginnings. Shine with brightness the torch of life that burns deep within all living, breathing creations. Speak only words understood, speak the truth for the truth is the strength of oneness.

Message Receive from the Holy Ones In Spirit

Join us in Co-creating with Blue Thunder, an Eastern Shoshone Wisdom Keeper, in the Pacific Northwest Medicine Wheel to heal the water, Mother Earth and ourselves.  This will be a 3 day ceremony centering in Olympia and 8 other points spanning 200 miles across Western Washington.

I seriously hate that nuage term "co-creating"!

Oh, and they have facebook too.

Bennie and followers are doing various events throughout the Pacific Northwest, their Olympia visits especially drew protest. http://www.olyblog.net/native-student-alliance-releases-statement-regards-medicine-wheel-ceremony (http://www.olyblog.net/native-student-alliance-releases-statement-regards-medicine-wheel-ceremony) We have an ongoing collection of info on Bennie's group and related issues here: http://www.olyblog.net/pnw-medicine-wheel-ceremony (http://www.olyblog.net/pnw-medicine-wheel-ceremony)

Olympia unfortunately is ripe recruiting grounds - lots of college students, people in transition who are seeking "truths", and also lots of new age and neopagan folks who don't know better.

Native Student Alliance Releases Statement in Regards to "Medicine Wheel Ceremony"
Sun, 03/13/2011 - 10:27am — listening THE NATIVE STUDENT ALLIANCE OF THE EVERGREEN STATE COLLEGE AND OUR STANCE ON THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST MEDICINE WHEEL CEREMONY

Who is NSA? The Native Student Alliance creates solidarity among Native peoples from all nations while providing a network of support for its members, who are both students and non-students. The NSA dedicates itself to allying with non-Native peoples and to further the cross-cultural understandings in order to provide a safe and respectful environment.

What is our stance on the PNW Medicine Wheel Ceremony and its Organizers?

Recently there has been a large wave of support for the PNW Medicine Wheel Ceremony in the Evergreen and greater Olympia communities. The NSA’s encounters with its figurehead, Bennie “Blue Thunder” LeBeau, his co-sponsors, and supporters have been dismissive and their actions continue to be disrespectful. NSA does not approve of the upcoming ceremony for the following reasons:

It is allegedly a Native-themed event but is a distortion of authentic Native practices.

Its lead organizer “Blue Thunder” has admitted to not being respected by Native Communities; he is suspected of being fraudulent and illegitimate.
“Blue Thunder” asks for money donations, which is seen by many Native communities as sacrilegious.
It intrudes into the Salish Sea territory while targeting a “New Age” audience, which in turn excludes Native Communities.
It has not been legitimized by the Elders and guardians of all the Nations affected by this ceremony.
It perpetuates stereotypes and misconceptions of Native Peoples and Cultures.

It continues the romanticized idea of all Native cultures being homogenous.
It has been promoted in posters that stereotype Chief Sealth and Sacagawea in a clip-art fashion while depicting them in a cliché greeting of “HOW,” which does not mean “hello.”
NSA witnessed supporters acting out “Indian dances” through bird-imitations and shouting stereotypical “war whoops” and other degrading and derogatory utterances.
Some of these incidents of racist/stereotypical actions were performed in the Evergreen Longhouse, a place of cultural significance for Native people and the larger community.
It is rationalized through an insensitive and detached perspective, which does not take into consideration everything Native people have been through.

Supporters have attacked NSA for standing up for our rights.
An essential aspect calls for Native Peoples to “get over” the genocide, cultural eradication, thefts and crimes so “we” can move on.
We of the NSA do not oppose bringing communities and different cultures together, we oppose the misguided approach these organizers have taken in doing so. The intent behind this event may be pure but its actions are creating the opposite effect. There is a difference between voluntary sharing of culture and this imposition that has been placed upon us. In the context of this discussion, we feel we are subject to racist and anti-Indian aggression, and are responding as such. Moreover, we view the defense of our cultures and traditions as the defense of our survival as Native people in the face of physical, cultural and spiritual genocide. The Native Student Alliance stands in unanimous and staunch opposition to the PNW Medicine Wheel Event. We also reject the anti-indigenous discourse and conduct from its leaders and supporters. We condemn the actions, not the individuals or spirits; we are ready to enter into a reconciliation process. We challenge the supporters of the event to heed our call, rethink and to move towards allyship. Furthermore, we send a message of profound gratitude to those allies who have heard our call and supported us with their words and actions.

thank you NSA. While there
thank you NSA.

While there are a few false accusations (the bird dancing, for example.) This has caused me to step back and reasess the situation.

I still believe wholeheartedly in the spirituality of the event. But I see now how the politics are overriding the issue.

I believe in the cause, but don't want to piss anyone off either. I hope something can be worked out on the 30th, even if it is after the event.

Why I object to this "ceremony"
Real spiritual people do not enter a different territory and proclaim it in need of "healing" as if that area is free of people perfectly capable of taking care of their own land. In the state of Washington there are 29 tribes. In Western Washington, the place where LeBeau is forcing his ceremony, there are 23 tribes. All are culturally active including practices that have been customary for them since time immemorial.

Why would it be the case that Mr. LeBeau and his followers would belive that they can bring in culturally appropriated ceremonies from other traditions (Plains) into this region or that it is necessary? Could it be that he and his followers have never considered the fact that Salish and Makah people are perfectly capable of taking care of the Pacific Northwest? Perhaps they are taking their lead from something that appears on LeBeau's website tetonrainbows.com under the link "elder1.pdf".

The Western Plains tribes are truly blessed that the government’s forced removal and eradication programs were so delayed for them, unlike the Eastern and Western Seaboard and interior tribes which were so early decimated by disease and migration that they lost most of their teachings.

For many Native peoples, what is offered by the Western Plains tribes is the only connection to their own forgotten traditions, even if tenuous. To take that away, or cause doubt, or exclude them is to condemn them to no connection with who they are and have a right to be. And the power of the Western Plains beliefs is strong and worth emulating, indeed a model for the world.

That particular quote is from an essay on his site that muddies the issues around protecting cultural ceremonies which belong to specific tribes and is land-based. By this thinking, he is saying  the 23 tribes here are so adrift that in his mind, cultural appropriation of plains traditions is all that is available. Hogwash!

While ostensibly "ministering" to those who he believes are without culture, he includes what he calls the "rainbow" of people who are individuals from all races--the true target of his ceremonies, not Indian people. The real money is with rich, non-Natives after all.

To assauge the guilt of those who may initially feel badly about being drawn to ceremonies that belong to the Lakota, he contends that guarding these ceremonies is acquiesing to the federal government, ironically,  by throwing in a reference or two to blood quantum, and the American Indian Religious Freedom Act. These are things that a well-meaning, spiritually hungry non-Native person might be concerned about in their own personal quests, and for which they only have peripheral understanding. This same essay goes so far as to say that enrolled tribal members are no better than "chattel" (a reference that usually comes from people angry about not being recognized by their own tribe or any tribe). Tribes as soveign nations can define citizenship by any means that they choose. There is no uniform code of citizenship among them. Disparaging Indian people who are enrolled and presumably have a cultural connection to their tribe is classic anti-Indian rhetoric.

So, Mr. LeBeau has violated the number one protocol of real cultural practitioners by first assuming that there is no one to ask permission to practice his ceremony and secondly by assuming that the ones that are present have no cultural grounds on which to object to his presence.

When participating in canoe journeys, permission is asked before coming ashore from the canoe. When invited to share a prayer, dance or song, appropriate thanks and acknowledgement is given to your host tribes of the land. To not do these things is an insult.

As for the cultural appropriation involved in practicing ceremony that does not belong to Mr. LeBeau, his followers should know that the reason ceremony is so carefuly guarded is not because of jealousy, hoarding, or animosty but rather because these things require very careful use, years of training and the observance of strict protocol around season, time and place. People who do this for their communities, give their lives to it. They are accountable to their communities. When someone avoids accountability it can be because they are simply ignorant or that they have something unsavory to hide. Ignorance is dangerous. The unsavory are dangerous. Nothing about the approach of the organizers suggests the least bit of respect and that tells me that they may also have gaps in other things they may be offering.

Native Student Alliance Calls for Allyship and Solidarity in Regards to "Medicine Wheel Ceremony"
Thu, 03/17/2011 - 12:38pm — listening The Native Student Alliance serves Native students at the Evergreen State College through various cultural activities that respect and honor the diversity of our student body. We share a responsibility to the land, the people, and the cultures of this region and all of Turtle Island to protect our communities from racism and oppression. NSA is also committed to serving the wider community by building cross-cultural awareness and solidarity with Indigenous peoples.

Most people know that while Native Americans have had many victories in resisting colonial oppression, they have also endured much sorrow and loss. Such losses not only resonate in our modern lives, but the process of colonialism continues to this day. The Native American struggle is alive though it has shifted in nature. A similar sense of entitlement held by the dominant society drives the usurpation of cultural property, as did the violent conquest of Turtle Island.

True cultural exchange occurs when both parties are on equal ground; however, western culture continues to dominate Indigenous peoples. The U.S. has subjected every tribe to generations of assimilative policies that have weakened the social and cultural foundations of tribes. Only 32 years ago, the American Indian Religious Freedom Act granted tribal peoples the basic human right to practice their religious ceremonies without fear of persecution. Such an unequal power dynamic has not only left a painful history, but has put tribes at a disadvantage in economic development. Financial hardship and injured self-respect may spur some Native people to commodify and sell their culture to non-Native people.

Why shouldn't I be able to access whatever spiritual practice I want?  For some, this mentality stems from a misplaced sense of entitlement in which Native peoples do not have the right to withhold their sacred ceremonies and traditions. For others, Native Americans are regarded as a vanishing or already extinct group. In an act of preserving the novelty of Native spirituality, they assume it is ok to appropriate. This approach is neither respectful, nor considerate; it is arrogant and patronizing.

Cultural appropriation is predicated on a fundamental disrespect for Native people—at best it is a silly misconception of what it is to be Native, and at worst it is an ultimate threat to our cultural survival. Native cultures are not only a set of cosmologies, but they are principled ways of being. Culture generates social supports, which are the strongest tool in facing dire circumstances within Native communities, such as epidemic youth suicide, substance abuse, and domestic violence. Meanwhile, non-Natives continue to justify taking ceremonies out of context and away from places where they are most needed.

We recognize that we are the descendants of survivors, the legatees of generational trauma and the children of struggle. We have a responsibility to our ancestors and future generations to defend our culture and empower our people. This means building solidarity with non-Native allies and educating our communities about Native cultural issues and concerns.

Our organization has been forced to address an alarming set of circumstances on Evergreen’s campus and in the Olympia community. We have experienced and witnessed:

Racist flyers for the “Pacific Northwest Medicine Wheel” promotional event: The images on the flyer blurred valued cultural distinctions by depicting stereotypical homogenized Native American figures that bear no resemblance to the actual people they are supposed to depict. The two Natives placed together (supposedly Sacagawea and Chief Sealth) never met and have no connections to one another. They are also depicted with their hands up in a stereotypical “How” gesture that so many non-Natives think is “Indian” for hello. Furthermore, there is an inaccurate placement of the buffalo and the mention of the “Medicine Wheel,” both of which are highly sacred to the Plains Indian cultures, but not representative of the Coast Salish Indian cultures.

Desecration of the Longhouse: During the promotional event hosted and sponsored by an Evergreen student group known as Ancestral Wisdom, NSA took particular interest in the words of one speaker, Bennie “Blue Thunder” LeBeau, who claims to be a spiritual leader of the Eastern Shoshone Nation. During the event LeBeau expressed that the sacred and spiritual beliefs and practices of Native Americans should be freely known and used by all people. He claimed our valued cultural distinctions are the products of “bad energy” and promoted his vision of the dissolution of tribal identity. He articulated multiple instances of historical revisionism. For instance, he utterly mischaracterized the history and nature of the Sundance and the Ghost Dance. He stated that Native Americans need to get over the genocide and ensuing colonialism.

Disrespectful behavior by students: In another instance, NSA witnessed LeBeau leading a “ceremony” on the Evergreen campus, in which students were seen acting out stereotypical Native American vocalizations and dances.

Invitation of a suspected fraud onto campus: LeBeau has been given free reign to mislead our learning community and disrespect  the Native American students by claiming his new age practices are rooted in Native spirituality. By combining religious activities of many different cultures and traditions with crystals, numerology and romanticized ideas of Native American practices, he makes a mockery of actual Native religions.

Lack of proper protocol and respect the the First Peoples of this land: To all things we are called upon as witnesses. Disregard for the People of this Place (all places) is an offense to the Spirits, to the Ancestors, causing suffering to First People. The protocol of inter-tribal relationships is that First People are the primary concern in all that is done. Speaking our intention and seeking permission is the beginning place of true respect. This homeland is theirs and we "others" are the visitors. Every grain of sand, every tree, every wave that washes upon the shores carries the cultural appropriateness or spirit of this place.

The primary instrument of genocide and assimilation has been the use of exclusiveness in the decision making process. We can never right a wrong but we can change behaviors. What invaded and settled upon this land was economic and spiritual dominance, what we have come to know as Colonization. And injury persists through the process of Colonization (of the mind) stripping away consciousness: we have no rights except that which First Nations grant. And furthermore, legitimate behaviors are blessed by the Elders of Indigenous Peoples. We petition the wisdom and blessings of the Elders so not to offend the spirits and create situations that may be furthering and aiding cultural misappropriation of First Nations/Indigenous Peoples. The organizers have not adhered to protocol in forging ahead with this event.

Lack of good faith in reconciliation attempts: Organizers of the Pacific Northwest Medicine Wheel have projected a façade of good will and intent while paying lip service to necessary protocols that include seeking counsel from respected elders and other Native community members. The result has restricted cross-cultural communication and understanding, ruled out the support and respect of actual indigenous communities, and complicated possibilities for reconciliation. This leads us to believe that the organizers have no intention to alter and cease the event if advised to do so, and have set the stage for on-going offenses.

We challenge the student organization, Ancestral Wisdom, to listen, rethink their notions of peace and harmony, and act in solidarity with actual Native communities.

We call on Student Activities, the Evergreen Administration, and all faculty and staff members to take measures to disassociate our school from Bennie LeBeau, aka “Blue Thunder” and The Pacific Northwest Medicine Wheel ceremony.

We call on the wider community to learn more about this ceremony’s legitimacy before choosing to participate.

We call on our allies to educate other people in our community, who may not be aware of the insidious nature of this event.

In the context of this discussion, we feel we have been subject to racist and anti-Indian aggression, and are responding as such.

I emailed one of the organizer and specifically asked if they had asked permission of the local tribes. Her non response was that they had been invited. That is all. What arrogance.Inviting someone and asking permission are not the same.

I'm not a member of the Native Student Alliance but want to support however I can. They are doing amazing, clearly communicated, assertive work in the face of all this rip-off b.s. The NSA and supporters have a lot of enlightening stories to tell about their interactions with Bennie and followers.

Bennie's website uses a lot of copy and paste from various tribal and municipal sites, making it falsely appear that they support him and his work.

From what I read, Bennie is using spiritual talk as a tarp thrown over a con job. Also sounds like he has developed a mini cult around him.

In this Native American Sacred Sites presentation, I propose to utilize 20 color slides depicting the Big Medicine Wheel,Devils Tower (a.k.a. Bear’s Lodge), and areas interpreting petroglyphs showing the vision quest sites . I will show both the tangible and intangible evidence through the rock images and rock alignments on the ground using symbols in the petroglyphs. I have been studying the petroglyphs of the western states and their interpretation for the past twelve years, as a protege of John Tarness, spiritual leader of the Eastern Shoshone tribe. I believe that only through educating the general public about sacred lands and our sacred sites will we be able to preserve these areas. Utilizing photographic skills on the petroglyphs, I am able to share a visual representation of our past, present, and future in educating the general public. (Contributed Paper)

Blue Thunder listened gravely as I expressed my fear that I could not keep my fear at bay, my concern that I would drag it into ceremony, polluting the wheel. And he spoke of the forces that would pull us all down, that would hinder the progress of all peoples back into the light of Self awareness, knowledge and Spirit. After a cleansing he assured me I would do just fine. Kristine gave me the not-so-reassuring understanding that I was taking on tsunami energy for the entire planet to transmute. Feeling somewhat like a determined little donkey given its assigned burden to bear, I went home to prepare for the weekend.

A wonderful Native American man came into my life, and we formed a beautiful friendship. He taught me about ley lines, vortexes and grid systems on the Earth. He showed where the land cried out because of the mining and construction, drilling and pollution and showed me how to clear and heal those areas. Blue Thunder taught me about the Rock people and the Tree Beings and how every living thing had a voice. He said we had forgotten our connection with nature, and that our Mother was saddened because of that disconnection. He showed me how to clear the water and food we eat of the pollutants created by thought, chemicals and the fear of the animal. Then how to infuse and charge it with love and gratitude, and raise its vibration. He taught me endless amounts of information of which I am eternally grateful, but most importantly he taught me reverence for all life. Bennie claims Sacajawea as a great-grandmother:

Quote
Sacajawea was from Salmon, Idaho, from the Shoshone people, as mentioned above she is one of BlueThunder’s Great Grandmothers.

This stuff is just plain horrible:

Quote
We were designed to have a thought occur in the mind and then to have our inner self, our higher self, offer an emotion in response to that thought.  If the emotion felt good, that was our Spirit’s way of saying that the thought we just had was in alignment with our desires, in alignment with the highest good of all.
...

If instead we received a negative emotion in response to our thought, that was to tell us that our thought was out of alignment with love, peace and harmony.   We all know of this connection on some level and we call it our conscience.  Many of us have learned to ignore and even disconnect from this inner knowing by staying in our heads and rationalizing why what we think we want is okay, at whatever cost to others and our environment. Most of us have lost the ability to navigate through life using our feelings as our compass.

I received a series of emails from a former associate of Lebeau’s, very concerned and wanting to know more and understand why he’s a fraud. They asked that their identity be kept concealed, but gave permission for the emails to be posted.

They also speak of having a good friend who is deeply caught up in believing in Lebeau. Any advice for how to get their friend away from Lebeau and co?

In order, the emails are first from them, then my response, them, then me again, then them.

Hello members of NewAgeFraud,

My name is …. and I [worked with] Kristine and Blue Thunder... And yes, I'm a white person….

I was connected to the Northwest Medicine Wheel Ceremony that happened in Olympia in March. There was a cultural awareness dialogue held, meant to discuss the issues the Native Student Alliance had concerning the ceremony and Blue Thunder; it did not go well at all and I feel like nothing is resolved. No apologies were accepted and people were very disrespectful to him, Kristine and myself--telling us we don't know what love is and that we're creating chaos. Aside from that I've been very hurt about the way people are painting us; saying we are disrespectful and ignoring them, which is not true. I tried to arrange a dialogue between me and them and members of the counseling network at TESC and nobody responded to the request. I made it a point to speak with everyone who approached me about it and I was never rude, and offered to be open and have honest communication. Several people invited in protestors who showed up at the Capital Theater event on March 13 to come in speak before the crowd, and they refused. I don't understand why there can be no resolve, and why we can't have any meeting of the minds.

I'm mostly writing to you because I read your blog on NewAgeFraud that was recommended to me by a native student and I really want to understand why I need to be cautious and why people are saying he's a scam. Blue Thunder has never shown me unkindness, and I knew Kristine long before her and Blue were partners; I can certainly attest to her intuitive gifts. They inspired me to write a research... In the entire time I worked with them I never gave a penny--I have no money. And I was never excluded. Also I don't understand how praying for the place where I grew up and asking for healing for myself and people I love is offensive and wrong. Please help me understand what I'm not seeing, and what I can do differently.

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply.

The anger and what you interpret as "disrespect" are a result of frustration that Natives constantly face on this issue, from outsiders not understanding our POV.

Imagine if a con man started dressing up as a Catholic priest, declared himself a religious leader even though no one in the Catholic church ever made him a priest and the communities knew of him only as an imposter who always caused trouble and took money for misrepresenting Catholic mass as witchcraft involving cannibalism.

Now imagine you didn't know much about Catholic beliefs and naively decided to intern for this imposter.

Naturally he'd treat you with respect. After all, you're doing free labor for him.

Naturally he'd realize it's useful to use you to shield him from the Catholic community, as Mr LeBeau has with you. .

And it wouldn't be too surprising if you felt the people pointing out he's an imposter were somehow "disrespectful."

The fact remains, what you think of him and his "respect" for you has no bearing on whether he's legit or not.

The Shoshone and other Natives in the northwest have long known he's a fraud,

He has NEVER been recognized as a spiritual leader or healer in the Shoshone community.

What he "teaches" has no resemblance at all to Shoshone or any other Native belief.

What he teaches are racist stereotypes. Outsiders who only know Hollywood films think these are somehow the real traditions.

He has done enormous damage to Native people and traditions. And those who naively support him, though they don't know any better, act as human shields for him,

Whether you realize it or not, you harm Native people. We urge you to reconsider what you are doing.

I also urge you to come to the forum and speak with the people, both Native and nonNative.
Al Carroll, moderator

--------------

If I may ask, what evidence do you have to prove that he is viewed as a fraud by his community? Where can I find this? I still don't understand why I'm being harmful, or why his intentions are harmful. He asks for donations, but does not expect it, and does not exclude anyone. Even after… was over and I no longer… he's still there for me. He is never rude, even to people who are rude to him. Rude to me is screaming at someone, telling them they don't know what love is, saying "you make me sick" and "that's crazy talk/woo woo talk". Anyone would consider that disrespectful. Have you watched his documentary "Healing Mother Earth's Sacred Sites" where he worked with people in Big Bear Lake, CA? Several community members attested to the improvement of their environment and wildlife because of the ceremony he did there. Also, why is it that I'm able to find other Native American communities that DO endorse his work and came to the ceremony to share their spirituality with us, and thank us for what we're doing? I don't feel like you've answered my questions. I am talking to other native and non-native groups, and I don't find consistent answers. You say he's a fraud, others say he's a good man with a love for nature that wants to help others. Some people say I'm being racist and a cultural appropriator, others say I'm doing something beautiful and important. Can you understand why this is confusing for me, and my need to get to the bottom of this?

Thank you for your time. I'm just trying to find the truth in all of this.

As you can see, many of the "Native" elders he claims endorse him are in fact NOT Native.

Note also his working with numerous other imposters and exploiters.

Among the more contemptible things LeBeau has done, besides falsely claiming to be a Shoshone elder, is his use and abuse of a woman dying of leukemia, taking everything she has while letting her delude herself into thinking she will be cured.

As for your claim that other Natives in other communities endorse him, besides being largely false (since many of these aren't even Native)....

Why on earth do you think that means anything? Would you think Lutherans decide who is a Catholic priest?

Like many outsiders, you seem to not understand that these are hundreds of extremely distinct traditiions.

Again, I urge you to come to the forum. There is also another moderator Debbie Redbear who knows about LeBeau in greater detail including the northwest tribes view and complaints against him.

Also, I would like your permission to post our emails here, since I think all could benefit from this discussion, esp those like yourself trying to figure these issues out.

Thank you for your time. I'm reading this materials. I've also contacted Big bear lake resort and I'm trying to find a contact for his tribe. If you know of one, please tell me. I want to hear of that myself. I hear a lot of "I have a source that says" but I want to speak to them directly. At this time I would prefer to remain private, I hope you'll respect that. I need time to think about it. This is all frightening to me, because I really believed in the good intentions of this work.

Do you support the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers?  They endorse his work. Please let me know what your thoughts are about these endorsers: http://www.earthwisdomfoundation.net/LINKS.html

Yes, please refer me to Debbie Red Bear. She can reach me here.

Please know I'm not a bad person. I'm not stupid either. I'm just trying to understand this.

I do understand different tribes have their own traditions--I want to understand why mixing and sharing of cultures is viewed as a negative thing. And please stop using references to Catholics--I have no connections to that religion.
What are normal rituals and traditiosn that happen in sweatlodges? I have so many questions.

-------------------

I forwarded your email to Debbie Redbear. She can tell you more about the local community.

I will keep this in confidence as you wish. [Note that she gave permission to post in the next email.] But I do urge you to join the forum to speak to others. You don't have to reveal your identity.

There are more than a few members of NAFPS that are in a similar situation to you. We have ex Newagers, people who made mistakes and now regret it. There are even ex wives of exploiters among our members.

The 13 grandmothers, if you look at our thread on them, we point out there are some who are genuine and a few who don't seem to be what they claim. The bigger issue is they have been "appointed" as elders by a white Newage exploiter named Jyoti, who seems to be using them to make herself appear legit.

I used the references to Catholics because they are perhaps the most widely known faith….

Each tribe has different sweatlodge traditions but in general there are protocols saying one must never charge, it must be done by a healer recognized and trained in their community, and it is extremely dangerous for someone who is not to conduct one. A good example of the dangers is the case of James Ray in Sedona who killed many people with his ignorance.

As far as "sharing" that word is often used by Newagers to actually mean stealing or taking without asking. To truly share one must have permission, and Lebeau and other imposters don't. Tribe do share traditions sometimes, but only after careful consideration by all parties and agreement by everyone. There is much reluctance because there are so many abusers like Lebeau.

-----------------

I spoke with several members of the Shoshone Tribe today and was very sad by the things they told me; saying he's not a respected person, he uses people, is not an appointed medicine man and not an elder. Thank you very much for warning me. I also want you to understand where I'm coming from: I'm involved in… and I'm very sad by the ugly things I see people do to each other. I want nothing more for us to live in peace with one another and for us to heal ourselves and the world around us. Not knowing this was wrong or that this sort of fraud existed is very sad to me because I want so much to be an instrument of change in my community. Can you understand why I felt the way I did? I'm not trying to gain sympathy and I don't expect forgiveness, this is who I really am. The last thing I wanted to do is hurt people, in any situation. I love people very much, all people, regardless of their race, spirituality or cultural beliefs. In fact I'm fascinated by anything different from me and want to travel the world, learning all about it. This was certainly a learning lesson. I'm very concerned for the others who have been following him, and for my friend who is his partner.  They said she is in danger. I need to think about how I want to handle this. Yes, you post these emails, but please use the name :formerPNW. I don't want my real name or contact info connected to this. Best wishes to you.

They also speak of having a good friend who is deeply caught up in believing in Lebeau. Any advice for how to get their friend away from Lebeau and co?

Read more: http://www.newagefraud.org/smf/index.php?topic=499.msg28969#msg28969#ixzz1PP9kXtJ1

The former member is speaking of Bennie's current "twin flame" Kristine. Kristine works as Bennie's partner, co-leads events with him. She looks to be very wrapped up in Bennie.

So helping Kristine see the reality of the situation would be like helping a member of a cult break free, or a domestic violence victim break free. Takes time and patience and persistence.

Unfortunately what Kristine has with Bennie might be "working" for her, she probably is really invested in this. And criticism of Bennie will probably trigger more us-vs-them stuff, a feeling that it is she and Bennie against all the nonbelievers. Direct confrontation might not work.

Kristine's friend could provide her with time away from Bennie. Friendship, being a role model of someone who is learning and growing, someone who encourages truth and health can help.

Bennie and Kristine both use lots of "loaded language"...

Quote
Loaded language

New words and language are created to explain the new and profound meanings that have been discovered. Existing words are also hijacked and given new and different meaning.

This is particularly effective due to the way we think a lot through language. The consequence of this is that the person who controls the meaning of words also controls how people think. In this way, black-and-white thinking is embedded in the language, such that wrong-doers are framed as terrible and evil, whilst those who do right (as defined by the group) are perfect and marvellous.

The meaning of words are kept hidden both from the outside world, giving a sense of exclusivity. The meaning of special words may also be revealed in careful illuminatory rituals, where people who are being elevated within the order are given the power of understanding this new language.

.... anything to help Kristine and any other followers begin to think and speak more clearly might be helpful.

I spoke with a woman who was associated with LeBeau but backed off because of some things that came up. She has done some research since then, even calling the Eastern Shoshone nation to speak with their cultural director. She discovered that a) Bennie is not, and never has been, considered a "Respected Elder" as his followers claim. b) Is not supported by them in any of the things he does. c) Not well liked. and d) Considered a self-appointed "shaman." I wish more people would call tribes and ask them if the people who claim association are recognized for what they claim. Not ask about things that are fairly innocent or mundane like someone being descended from a nation. But when they claim respected elder or shaman.

Hi, I'm formerPNW. I was the one who was communicating with the moderator about my former involvement. Thank you for those of you who responded to my emails--I appreciate your time, and I have learned quite a bit. I know what to look for in the future: I have NEVER encountered this sort of thing. I didn't even know this sort of fraud existed, but it sure forces me to exercise my deductive reasoning.

I haven't heard anything from Blue in months, but recently he did ask me to befriend him on a social media site (not FB something else...) and asked me to donate money. :(

I'm still very concerned for my friend, who is "married" to him--not legally. I worry that he is taking advantage of her: people from his tribe that knew him before these ceremonies say he can't be trusted. I wish I knew how to help her, but she's so into what he's doing. She's not the same person at all. The tricky thing--and what I'm most worried about--is the fact that they are not legally married: he can leave whenever he wants and will not face any consequences. She went through a very painful break-up with her former partner of 7 years JUST before they met. Continuing to give me advice on this piece would be greatly helpful.

Hi formerPNW,

One thing you might do is to go to Rick Ross' site (don't have the link but I know Al does) and learn about cults. Bennie is running a cult.  People get brainwashed by wanting so badly to get that "pie in the sky". But some people wo have dealt with cults, can probably offer more advice. Also, be prepared to counter her beliefs re Bennie, with facts. SHe won't like it, but eventually. she may see it.

formerPNW, feel free to msg me if you like, I'll help however I can. I'm in the Olympia area and have lots of past experience with new age cults and abusive relationships.

www.rickross.com is a great site, has helped me in the past, they have an active forum and lots of free articles and first hand stories from former cult members, researchers, survivors, etc. Their page Warning Signs http://www.rickross.com/warningsigns.html (http://www.rickross.com/warningsigns.html) is good to keep handy.

Cult leaders prey on people who are in the middle of life transitions. He got her when she was vulnerable and now she may believe that her entire identity, soul, and worth are tied up with him.

This is Suzy Chaffee's illegal non-profit. nativevoices.org belongs to her and is how she makes her living. She gets donations from rockstars and celebrities to "develop" Indian programs at ski resorts.
She makes fantastic - and very very untrue - claims of support by Native American politicians, lobbyists, tribal leaders and organizations.
Records searches show that her foundation operates illegally. It's not properly registered or licensed as a non-profit in Colorado, Arizona, California, or anywhere else she solicits money for Natives.
She pays no taxes and has never filed a 990 with the IRS. She keeps no books. Contributions go directly into her own personal checking account. She's been asked many times for her non-profit documents and has NEVER been able to show them, which is mandatory for non-profits.

Bennie LeBeau and others are her non-profit Native projects.

At about the 2:05 minute mark on this video Kristine (Blue Thunder's partner) states "Cause there's a little known thing about Chief Sealth and that is that his mother was white and his father was Native American".

But that isn't true:

Quote
Chief Seattle was an ancestral leader of the Suquamish Tribe born in 1786 at the Old-Man-House village in Suquamish.  His father was Schweabe, a Suquamish Chief, and his was mother Scholitza, a Duwamish from a village near present Kent.

Bennie LeBeau's group http://www.earthwisdomfoundation.net/Medicine_Wheel_Ceremonie.html (http://www.earthwisdomfoundation.net/Medicine_Wheel_Ceremonie.html) lists what they call current ceremonies, including their "Pacific Northwest Medicine Wheel". The image they have for that still includes Quinault Nation. http://www.earthwisdomfoundation.net/Ceremony_Details.html (http://www.earthwisdomfoundation.net/Ceremony_Details.html) Which leads some people to believe that Bennie LeBeau's work is endorsed by the Quinault Nation.

Bennie LeBeau and Kristine Soliday have settled in the Olympia, WA USA area. Craig Addison Houston (Addison Hokhmah) is listed as a director in their nonprofit Earth Wisdom Foundation out of Wyoming, he is also in Olympia, and has been quite active with the group.

This area is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, arc of volcanic and seismic activity. Bennie plays on that fact, uses words like "tectonic", claims that we need to do ceremonies with them to prevent devastating earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. So if a big one happens - apparently it will be all our fault here. http://www.earthwisdomfoundation.net/ (http://www.earthwisdomfoundation.net/)

Bennie & Kristine seem to be on hiatus, they posted this 9/5:

Quote
Blue & I are going on a Sacred Mission and will return in about a week. At that time we will be sharing the next level information we have been working on that we know will help each & every person on Earth, whether we ever meet or not.

In a local Facebook group Olympia Respects Indigenous Spirituality is posted this:

Quote
Found out tonight from some Native Folks in Oregon that do Ghost Dancing, that they have heard of Blue Thunder and he is widely considered a fraud in their country. And that people need to beware of him because he is mixing the medicine in a way that the spirits are not happy about and could be harmful.

Great!  Blue and Kristine are on the same mission as Little Grandmother:

http://www.earthwisdomfoundation.net/
"The world was put together in sacred geometric patterns, circles within circles, which have been de-harmonized through humanity's mining,  development, thoughts and actions and these influences have affected most all sacred sites or places worldwide.  These activities have cut, frayed and distorted these ley lines or spirit lines.  Since all of creation relies on this electro-magnetic energy for it's survival, you can all see why healing and re-tuning these energy lines is crucial."

Whew!  I feel so much safer now.  Those ley lines are being activated!   ;D ;D ;D

Family of Humanity,
We have found our home base & are in the process of creating a teaching & healing center in the Olympia area in Washington state.  We will be hosting Full Moon & New Moon ceremonies, installing an edible forest garden to teach about permaculture and hosting many events to teach about Nature's laws, provide a space for personal healing and to join in the celebration of our return to Oneness with all of life. We are reaching out to the world, teaching about Nature's Laws which represent how to live in peace and harmony, in Oneness with all things.

We teach about how love works and how each and every thought or action that humanity has affects the Web of Life and the electro-magnetic elements of Mother Earth.  We are all made of these elements, the Earth, Air, Water and Fire, and what we do and think imprints upon them and replays itself. The Sacred Sites of the world from the mountain peaks to the rivers, oceans to the pyramids, are whatkeep the Earth and all her living beings charged with life force energy, with Chi or Ka

One of Bennie's main students, Craig Addison Houston, based in Olympia WA,  has now formed his own group - The Antahkarana Foundation. He uses the name Addison Hokhmah.

Working to effectively unify the fields of Science and Spirituality.

Bennie Lebeau recruited followers at The Evergreen State College. Craig was a student there. People who encountered Bennie and his followers described the followers as glazed eyed New Age cult groupies.

The group Olympia Respects Indigenous Spirituality ("This group has been set up to respond to the presence of new-age shamans in Olympia that openly advocate expropriating Native cultures through the "Pacific Northwest Medicine Wheel Ceremony," and other harmful practices") has a Facebook page, scroll back in time and you can see some conversation about their meeting with Bennie & followers.

As for Bennie Lebeau and Kristine Soliday themselves http://www.earthwisdomfoundation.net/Home.html (http://www.earthwisdomfoundation.net/Home.html), haven't seen much public activity in last few months, wonder what spring time will bring.

From their email newsletter:

Quote
Medicine Wheel Spring Equinox March 20

Here we are in the New Earth of 2013 and beyond. Our medicine wheel ceremonies with singing, dancing, and drumming helped to bring the Earth and all of creation through the 2012 portal at the galactic alignment in a softer, gentler way. Blue Thunder's work for the past 13 years to clean and clear sacred sites and the ley lines, Grandmother Spider's Web, within the Web of Life, united us all to be a part of getting to this new place of peace, love, joy and harmony in gentle shifts.

Quote
Please choose your special place, your sacred site near your home or far away and go to that special place during the Equinox. Look for sacred sites on the sacred geometrical medicine wheel images at our website www.earthwisdomfoundation.net and adopt a sacred site as an Ambassador, inviting others to join you there for ceremony, sunrise to sunset March 20, 2013. Or chose your own sacred site in your homelands wherever you live and would want to be during this equinox. For the Olympia, WA center point we will be at Tumwater Historical Park, exit 103 off I-5, sunrise to sunset.

We hope to have Ambassadors commit to a sacred site near them into the future so we have a network like Grandmother Spider's Web maintaining high vibrational energy flowing through the ley lines of our precious Mother Earth into the future. This very special Web of Life is here to help us manifest our intentions, decrees and prayers.

So apparently the reason we are all okay in 2013 is because of Bennie and his followers.

I believe it is very rude to claim to "adopt a sacred site" when the place isn't even up for adoption or in need of adoption.

I wonder if there is a way to get the traditional people of each place, to show up BEFORE Bennie's groupies get there and do something. Anything. Have a picnic, whatever. I am not sure how to go about doing this, but there needs to be some way to put a stop on it. Bennie has to come here ( Washington State) because his own people reject his lunacy. I know that the group at Evergreen State U has been working to stop this.

This is a wonderful idea, will pass on to student group. I don't have other contacts myself, but will help with research.

Bennie and Kristine look to have settled in Tumwater WA, there is talk on their site of starting a public workshop center and eventually an intentional community.

There are some strong people in the Nisqually Nation that might stand up to this guy. I don't know any of them, but they fought many battles with the state, so if the students have contacts there, great. This guy needs to be stopped.

Now they are launching a "global medicine wheel". This from their email list, will paste in text and upload a few of the many images:

June Solstice Launch of Global Medicine Wheel for September Equinox

We are all connected through the Earth’s ley lines. When we go to our sacred sites to do ceremony, we can collectively clean and clear old programs from the environment and charge the Earth with peace, love, joy, harmony and abundance.

There are two large ley lines circling the Earth: the Rainbow Serpent (female) and the Plumed Serpent (male). With ceremonies at each of these sites and the Medicine Wheels connected to them through their sacred points, we connect through our hearts and send energy through the Earth’s sacred energy lines.

--

See how this works. When we do ceremony in Olympia, WA, USA, the center of the Pacific Northwest Medicine Wheel, Mt. Rainier is a point on both the Pacific Northwest Medicine Wheel and the Grand Teton Medicine Wheel, so as we activate our Medicine Wheel, the Grand Teton Medicine Wheel is activated and all of us on the sacred points are connected.

---

Mt. Shasta is a point on the global Plumed Serpent ley line and on the Grand Teton Medicine Wheel, connecting those energy lines to the global Plumed Serpent and Rainbow Serpent ley lines.

Big Bear Medicine Wheel in southern California can link with the Grand Teton Medicine Wheel

--------

The Michael (male) and Mary (female) ley lines in southern England crisscross over the Rainbow Serpent line there – Glastonbury is the Earth’s 4th chakra - heart

------

The Costa Rica Medicine Wheel connects with Palenque on the Plumed Serpent global ley line

----------

And the Eagle and Condor Medicine Wheel is also centered in San Jose, Costa Rica, linking the points on that medicine wheel in as well

----------

The Teotihuacan Medicine Wheel connects to the Emerald Grid of sacred sites in Central America

-------

Medicine Wheels are yet to be created for other sacred sites:
*** Australia (Uluru is the Earth’s 3rd chakra- solar plexus – and is on the Rainbow Serpent global ley line).
*** Europe.
*** The Mary Magdalene sacred sites in southwest France.
*** The Virgo constellation arrangement of Gothic cathedrals of northern France

-------

And other sacred sites around the planet where people would like to join in the Global Medicine Wheel Ceremonies every solstice and equinox.

As we go to our sacred sites, we connect to all at the other points. The energy from our hearts will connect and the ley lines will be cleaned and cleared, then charged with peace, love, joy, harmony and abundance.

If you would like to be an Ambassador for a sacred site on any of the Medicine Wheel points or work with us to create new medicine wheels for your local region, e-mail Pat Rasmussen   pat@earthwisdomfoundation.net.

All of this is sort of amusing.  What does bother our people is how Benny is Disrespecting our culture and our sacred ceremonies, by mocking them with his phony sundance and sweat lodges.  It is sad to see and hear of people giving him money because he talks mumbojumbo.  Give me some money i could tell better BS stories than him.  Benny is enrolled here with the Eastern Shoshone tribe.  His mother is from Utah and has some native blood.  His father is from here and is mostly of Native blood.  Benny didn't grow up traditionally and spent most of his life drinking and smoking weed.  He did participate in sundances when he was an adult.  He was actually a normal guy back in the day.  He got caught up with another tribal member that took him on a wild ride with whisky mixed with Peyote.  I sweat with them a couple times and they had all sorts of mushrooms and believed they were medicine.  they mixed all this stuff together with Mescal Whisky and peyote tea.  calling it a spiritual drink.  Well needless to say Benny is now skitzo.  You are all wasting your time complaining about him and trying to get him to see reality.... he can't.  His mind is fried.  Our ceremonies are not for sale not for show not for play.  Our medicine is off limits, if they are abused this is what happens.  Your mind will be spun around and you end up like Benny.  You cannot make up religion and ceremonies.  All this newage crap is not helping anyone but the predators looking for money.  Too many of you are falling for it.  I will continue to pray for us all.  Whoo wi Who  (Thank You)

Kristine Soliday now also uses the name Pluma Bavada Kosmi. Also Pluma Blanca. She has revived her Energy Lighthouse business and website. http://www.energylighthouse.net/home.html (http://www.energylighthouse.net/home.html) Her business is now "Energy of Life Church, Chartered by S.H.E.S. is a non-profit religious organization".

So her church is chartered by http://www.shes.org/index.htm (http://www.shes.org/index.htm) The International Assembly of Spiritual Healers and Earth Stewards, which has an old website but continues to ordain ministers. For instance:

Quote
Spiritual Healers & Earth Stewards Ordination
Sunday, Sep 15 2:00p to 4:00p
Crystal Voyage Tacoma, WA

Ordained Ministers, Corinna Hartmann and Phyllis Hedge will be doing a sacred ceremony to ordain ministers and affirm their connection to Divine Source. SHES is the International Assembly of Spiritual Healers and Earth Stewards. This ordination allows you to perform marriage ceremonies and other sacred ceremonies. The SHES assembly supports a new era in religions of sincere personal responsibility in spiritual growth while maintaining a universal spiritual and reverent communion between and among all sharing beings. If you are interested in having this ordination the cost will be $50 dollars plus the certificate fees of $10 dollars each. The certificate fees are separate, as they are sent in with the supporting documentation. There are 3 different certificates you can receive: Spiritual Healer, Diplomat of Earth Stewardship or Minister. So if you want all three certificates the cost to you would be $80 dollars. If you want only one the cost would be $60 dollars. This is by RSVP and pre-registration only. Please contact Crystal Voyage at 253-272-4367 to register. Please arrive at 1:45 p.m. to fill out the paperwork, the ceremony is scheduled to begin EXACTLY at 2:00 pm.

Bennie's site has also evolved: http://www.earthwisdomfoundation.net/ (http://www.earthwisdomfoundation.net/) .

Earth Wisdom Foundation mailing address in their recent newsletter (which calls for a global medicine wheel ceremony for winter solstice 2013) is in Olympia, Washington. Bennie's sign off in the newsletter is:

Quote
Bennie "Blue Thunder" LeBeau, Eastern Shoshone - Earth Wisdom Foundation’s President  Wind River Indian Reservation, Fort Washakie, Wyoming

Almost sounds like he is back in Wyoming. His website says in the main image: "Blue Thunder: A Peace Keeper of the Shoshone Nations".

Bennie Earl LeBeau has moved on to be with our ancestors. He is my mother's brother and he is enrolled SHOSHONE. I know he believed in what he was doing and had good intentions. For those of you who think he was a fraud can rest easy now and you no longer have to talk about him. For those of you who believed in him can be assured he is with our elders and family that have already made the journey...

Thank you for finally giving us an introduction, even if late. It's not much of an endorsement when you promote a fraud like Lebeau after making unlikely and unproven charges on another thread.

If Lebeau's Nuage groups had given up promoting him, I'd say move this thread. But it seems like his death won't stop them from continued false versions or ceremony selling, so this thread must remain.

I wish Lebeau and his family peace that he never gave others with the harm done by his exploitation.

Jdgmnt21 also wrote about his uncle in that other thread which is referred to above:

I did not endorse Bennie. He is my uncle, he has passed on, and he believed that what he was doing was right. I cannot argue with his belief in himself. So, that us a dead horse...
