"The Culture and Elders Committee of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Reservation protect the intangible cultural resources of the tribes including language, songs, stories etc.

No tribal Elders or elders have met with nor do they condone the claims and actions made by Kiesha Crowther.

She is not their 'shaman', she has no right to claim this title and the Elders and elders of CSKT of the Flathead Reservation would like her to cease and desist immediately from making such false claims that erode the traditions that members of the CSKT Culture and Elders Committee are trying to preserve."

The posting of this statement came with the permission and urging of the Salish elders. Anyone doubting this message's authenticity can contact the Flathead Reservation.

Please repost widely, particularly in sites frequented by Crowther's cult.

And reminding anyone who has forgotten, this is why the statement from the Salish tribes -  notably the Flathead Elders in Montana - is particularly important. These are quotes from Kiesha Crowther's offical website:

http://www.tribeofmanycolors.net/news-and-urgent-messages/response-to-misinformation-on-the-web.html
_____________________________________________

"Kiesha’s maternal side of the family is Sioux and Salish, and comes from the Flathead Reservation in Montana."

"she is part-Native American and was made shaman by her family’s tribe"

"tribal members [in Montana] do occasionally seek her out and are referred to her for counsel, blessings, and healings"

I just attempted to view the video linked to on Youtube. I received a blank page with a message that the video has been pulled by the user.

Edit: Having now caught up on the KC/LG thread, I understand what happened to the videos.

SAMy posted that he is making some changes to it. The video juxtaposed Crowther's claims of being "Sioux-Salish" from the Flathead Reservation with the statement from the Elders Committee denying her claims.

ETA: Here is a video by an Oglala woman that includes the statement juxtaposed with Crowther speaking her claims. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juoD2CdHBAM&feature=player_embedded

Since many people from all around the world have heard or read Kiesha´s messages, here comes the Elders´statement in some different languages. Anyone - feel free to add translations in other languages.

ITALIAN
Il comitato "The Culture and Elders Committee of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Reservation“ protegge le risorse culturali intangibili (lingua, canti e racconti e cetera) dei tribù della Flathead Reservation.

SWEDISH
De Stamäldstas Kulturella nämnd hos “The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes of the Flathead Reservation”  beskyddar de immateriella kulturtillgångarna hos stammarna såsom språk, sånger, berättelser etc.

Official statement of CSKT in Finnish:

CSKT:n Virallinen heimolausunto Kiesha Crowtherista eli 'Little Grandmotherista'.

Putting Crowther's other false claim - of being Lakota - and the statement refuting it here, as well.

At one point Crowther made the mistake of trying to imply she had some connection to Chief Arvol Lookinghorse. Like all her other claims, it was a lie. We spoke to Arvol and he never heard of her till people started contacting him to let him know about her lies and misrepresentations.

http://www.newagefraud.org/smf/index.php?topic=3790.0

When asked about Kiesha Crowther, Chief Lookinghorse's response has been that Ms. Crowther is not a member of the Lakota Nation, she is not a relative, and she has no rights to ceremonies.

http://www.newagefraud.org/smf/index.php?topic=2871.msg25814;topicseen#msg25814

As has been checked by multiple people on the forum, Crowther has no connection to Arvol Lookinghorse. We are pretty certain she has no connection to any Indigenous Elders.

Crowther's fantasies of White Buffalo Calf Woman are based on misinterpretations, and the gross misunderstandings of an outsider to the L/D/N lifeways.

For the record, here is a video of Arvol telling the story of White Buffalo Calf Woman, and discussing the appearance of white animals in recent years. White Buffalo Calf Woman is a black-haired woman, and the prophecy is that she will return as a white buffalo calf.

You may notice that there is no mention of blonde, white women anywhere in the prophecies.

I find it interesting to look at some of the sites that have republished this statement since 2010. Often there is additional information that may not have been posted before in this forum, e.g. links to videos.

That last link is quite interesting, because the article defends and supports Ms. Crowther, but cites the Salish Elder's Statement and also gives a resume of a critical video that is no longer available. Comments to that video are also included.
