Archiving evidence
(1/1)
KrazyKraut:
Dear readers!
Quite frequently you discover on the web some frauds. You post about them, exposing their wicked ways. They immediately remove their pages and try to destroy the evidence. There are various ways to handle that situation:
* Many pages are archived at the waybackmachine http://archive.org/web/web.php
* You can do a web citation: http://www.webcitation.org/
We have now added another option: When you post a report, you can attach the web page you reference as a pdf with a simple copy&paste. This way, the evidence is saved once and for all and directly connected to your posting.
We hope you like this new feature and make good use of it.
KrazyKraut:
There are a few changes wrt attachments:
* only doc, gif, jpg, mpg, pdf, png, txt, zip attachment types are allowed
* Max attachment size is 10 MByte
Epiphany:
This is great, thank you

Unfortunately, this option seems to be no more available. At the top of the page one can now read:
--- Quote from: https://webcitation.org/ ---We are currently not accepting archiving requests. The archival state/snapshots of websites that have been archived with WebCite in the past can still be accessed and cited.
