Title: "The Path of A Shaman"/ Valentin Khagdae
Post by: Ganieda on November 12, 2005, 07:49:00 pm
I was doing some follow-up on Sarangerel's mention of the desecration of Shaman Rock.  I am appalled at the amount of tourism directly associated with this sacred site.  As I researched I came across another dubious name  - and yet another pic of a very un-Russian tipi.  Could you tell me, please, something about this?  Thank You.

"The Path of A Shaman"/ Valentin Khagdaev

* The shaman Valentin Khagdaev had shamans-ancestors in the family, and has inherited shaman's gift, he is the so-called "selected" shaman having a special in-born mark on his body, which happens among shamans once in a century; he achieved 5-th degree in the shaman hierarchy of Khesete-boo divination techniques (acquired shaman drums of his own, able to bring himself into trans ecstasy, undertake travel to other time and world in order to heal a sick soul)

(scroll down and once again, you will find a pic of a decidedly un-Russian tipi)

There's huge problems with virtually all attempts at "spiritual tourism". This is a warning put out about people coming to South America, but I'd guess most of it applies to Siberia too. Most of the alleged traditional healers doing "spiritual tourism" are con artists who know very little, and abuse quite a lot.
