I have several times read in the posts about sexual predation from some of these frauds. Some places to look for investigation. The Justice Department web sites on sexual offenders anyone can access. You need to use a person in the law enforcement for some of the other sites you may want to search such as NCIC, ABI, or GBI for example. Couple of facts to the best of my knowledge are correct. (1) If a person has a valid DOT card or a valid handgun permit then they cannot be a sexual offender. I just thought that this might be an avenue of attack to put some of these people out of business. One must be careful however. There must be irrefutable proof documentation, court records before this tact is taken. Once proved with incontrovertible evidence this method is deadly. Any of you out there have any other suggestions? "LittleOldMan"

I'm not aware of any states that require a person to have a permit to own a weapon. The concealed weapons permit is available in many states but not all. To the best of my knowledge, a felony convicion and mental health inquest/ajudication are immediate reasons for exclusion and most sexual abuse type offense would be felonies, but not all. Many get reduced offenses for admission of guilt and saving the Courts time and money. Of course the myth of gun control rears its head right away because crooks and hustlers don't abide by most laws to begin with. But yes, it is a tactic that could be used very well in some cases, but like you said, once all the facts were lined up.
