Mr Grandfine, I will reply in due length which will take some time since I also have a real life with its demands.

In the meantime, Mr Grandfine, may I humbly suggest you pay at least enough attention to what you write and say and what and whom you quote to be polite enough to spell my name correctly? Thanks.

@ E P Grondine, WTF! Are you arguing with yourself?? Lol. I can't make head nor tails of you're writing. And you claim you're a journalist...?? Speaking of of your journalistic abilities,  I can't find one article you've written. Nothing, nada, not one article! All I've found is "YOU" commenting on obscure news articles in the comments section, responding to blogs and Yahoo chat rooms. And this all started about 2003. Other than comment chatter THERE ARE NO JOURNALISTIC NEWS ARTICLES OR PAPERS that I can find. Please produce some of your published work.

I'm not finding any signs of consistent public journalism and scholarly research either for Grondine.

The Newspaper Archive , Academic Library Edition has no listings other than 3 family society items from the 50s.

Google Scholar does not have much either https://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=%22e.p.+grondine%22&btnG=&hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C48

I don't see him listed in the Library of Congress Authorities. For comparison here is educatedindian/ Al Carroll's entry http://lccn.loc.gov/no2006061267

Google books search https://www.google.com/search?tbo=p&tbm=bks&q=inauthor:%22Edmund+P.+Grondine%22&source=gbs_metadata_r&cad=2#tbm=bks&q=e.p.+grondine

WorldCat https://www.worldcat.org/search?q=au%3AGrondine%2C+Edmund+P.&qt=hot_author and under E.P. Grondine https://www.worldcat.org/title/monticello-mellow-jefferson-grew-more-than-lilacs-in-that-garden/oclc/808033780&referer=brief_results

Amazon http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=dp_byline_sr_book_1?ie=UTF8&field-author=Grondine%2C+E.+P.&search-alias=books&text=Grondine%2C+E.+P.&sort=relevancerank

In ProQuest I find one space article with a quote from Grondine. And the article Monticello Mellow; Jefferson Grew More Than Lilacs in That Garden, Washington Post, 17 July 1988. Article ends with "E. P. Grondine is a computer programmer in Virginia and a student of drug use throughout history."

The Monticello Mellow article is the only one Highbeam Research has.

From an exchange on a blog, written to Grondine:

Quote
Mr. Grondine, I do not know you. I do know this: you have no authority to declare what I am and am not qualified to do or be. I am not a press officer. I never have been a press officer. I am a social scientist and a scholar of communication. My c.v. is posted here on my blog site, and it provides the details of what I have been and done.

Quote
My perspectives on the subjects I blog about here are, indeed, very well informed. They may differ from yours, but they are well researched, well considered, and well informed, as scholarly work should be.

Quote
Having worked with space scientists for the past 30 years or so in one capacity or another, I have come to know many experts – not self-proclaimed but properly accredited and validated as experts by their peers – on asteroids and the history of asteroid/comet impacts with Earth, among many other topics. I have asked a few of them if they know of you and your work, and only one recognizes your name (and also does not recognize you as an expert).

I have read the blurb about your book “Man and Impact in the Americas.” Your interpretations of this history are different from those that I know are widely peer-reviewed and widely accepted.

Hi Piff,  I saw that Dr. Linda blog too. Boy oh boy did she give ol' white E P fake ass a smack down! That's when I started to realize E P Grondine was a total fraud. He's a liar and has delusions of grandeur. He's not Indian, he's not a journalist and he's not a historian. He's a sad little man who sits behind a computer day after day.

@ E P Grondine, we here at NAFPS have provided undisputed evidences that you are not who you claim to be, please stop posting here or provide us with evidence of your so called race, education and your work history in journalism.

Thanks for reprinting the Washington Post piece, which ran below the fold in their Outlook section,
read by about 14 million people.

The writers of the constitution's own personal views and behaviors have an important bearing on what medicines can be used to combat diseases.

Moving on,
Linda Billings is not a specialist in asteroid and comet impact.

Let me run that by you again:
Linda Billings is no specialist in asteroid and comet impact.
She is a good PR person, who NASA has hired to minimize the impact hazard,
so that they may satisfy their core supporters,
who want to use our tax funds to fly a few men to Mars.

My work from 1986-1997 was printed in an industry newsletter,
which arrived in the morning on the desks of those concerned.
Publicly available items may be found at Mark Wade's encyclopedia astronautica.

My reportage from 1997-2003 on the hazard from asteroid and comet impact
and NASA's failure to respond to it may be found in the Cambridge Conference archives.

I asked keely here to check Bertha Twigg's ancestry, but I have not heard back from her yet for some reason.

E.P. - why are you writing on this forum about comet impacts and other unrelated matters? What does that have to do with the mandate of NAFPS? Why is this all about you, your professions of being an authority, your claims of being NDN, your expression of beliefs concerning history and cultures?

All the rest of us here have done things, are doing things, but unless it is relevant we don't go on and on about it. We've ended up examining your claims because you keep tossing them out to derail conversations.

I'd like you to stop using this forum to bash other people.

Your supposed attempts at humor are not working. Your claims of health issues don't excuse you, many of us here have such challenges and we do not use them as an excuse. You have been wrong here on several points and you are not listening to correction.

I started following up on your most recent claims and then realized you are basically trolling us. We have more important work to do.

Well, Piff -

As a journalist I have long experience in telling people things that they do not wish to hear.

keely only ran my ancestry part way.

Then Ingebourg brought all of those matters concerning my professional reputation up, not me.

I suppose I should thank her, as I have discovered several people either imitating me,
and putting words into my mouth that I did not say.
With very deliberate intent.

I can appreciate the feelings when long lost distant relatives show up asking for something
after you've come into some money.
That is not what I am about.
I can understand that the word "tribe' has certain privileges on a federal level,
and that federal tribes resent states recognizing "tribes" and giving them similar privileges.
That is not what I am about.

And I can understand resentment against those who "passed" in the past.
Those are issues in which I have no beef.

At any time over the last 40 years or so either the Eastern Band or the Absentee Band could have dropped those European descriptive words "Eastern" or "Absentee"
from their names and called themselves THE Shawnee.
They did not.

There are Shawnee rights regarding the remains of ceremonial sites in Ohio.
There are also unresolved Shawnee land rights in Ohio.
Then there might be casino rights,
which any manager of any casino might be interested in.
That is definitively a mater which does not concern me.
There was been a major con man who made Shawnee descendants his victims.

There was a traditional Shawnee history, and a modern Shawnee history after European contact.
Both are of great interest to me.

As to why I wrote "my" book, asteroids and comets do not hit that often.
European history goes back only 500 years, while the rest is remembered in Native Histories.
If you read Vine DeLoria's introduction to "They say the Wind is Red", you will find an excellent summary of the way traditional histories are treated by many people in academia.

Many peoples remembered these asteroid and comet impacts,
and remembered where they were when they occurred.

NASA is sending a probe to Europa instead of placing a telescope in space to find these things before they hit.
The amount of money involved is $1 Billion dollars or so.
But also at stake are many many lives.
That is what concerns me.

I'd like it if some people here stopped using this forum to bash me,
and get back to the business at hand, dealing with frauds.

If politely responding to slanders makes me a troll,
so be it.

I  am a historian,  was a journalist,
and coincidentally am 1/8 Shawnee by ancestry.

@EP Grondine, I'm the person who's been posting your genealogy and calling you out. My name is Diana and I've been posting here since 2006. Please stop trying to confuse the forum with Keeley's name and your harmful Indian disinformation gobbledygook. You know darn well that it's me that posted your genealogy and questioned your fraudulent journalistic claims.

So, from now on please direct any of your concerns to me, Diana. Oh, and I did do your complete genealogy.  Bertha E Twiggs b.1881 is white. As is her mother and father. I'm postings from my cellphone so I will post their entire genealogy later when I get home.

@ Kathryn  and other moderators, from now on NAFPS should have a strict policy for proof of enrollment for people who claim an Indian identity here on NAFPS. This is only fair to the real  Indians here on NAFPS and also the other uninformed readers who may think that EP Grondine is an actual Indian and may be speaking with some authority.

Wow!

That sure is news to me and the rest of the folks from Shawnee Oldtown!

That is also news to those who read my reportage.

And my book.

PS - Piff, it looks like I'm gong to be the topic here for a bit.

That or on the other hand Shades of John Redcorn -
I have that 1/8 DNA to explain.

Was there something Mom didm't tell me?

Why then I'd be a real bastard.

This is your thread, so I've no worries about you being the topic. :)

How does this work? ---> "I have that 1/8 DNA to explain." What does that mean, what test did you take that told you that?

Did your mother tell you that you had Shawnee heritage? Why do you believe that you are 1/8 Shawnee?

i have alway said that NAFPS is not about blood quantum but when it comes to people making claims that are
not true about native blood which we see on this site over and over again.
So then i would ask
"Are you in enrolled into a tribal Nation",
"Who are your witness from the Tribal nation that speaks for you"
"who are your grandparent"
"Where did you grow up"
all of these questions we ask each other when we meet people that are Native,or claim to be,
Indian county is small so we either know or heard of a person from a different nation,
i sit here on my reservation just shaking my head at some of the things posted,
why would someone wants so bad to be us that they would lie, i get so many request out of
Ohio with these claims and so far all i have found was the family lie. it is a shame :-[

Serpent Mound continues to be an area drawn to people intent on doing damage:

Quote
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is investigating property damage that occurred over the Fourth of July weekend at Serpent Mound off state Route 73.

Serpent Mound is an internationally known National Historic Landmark built by the ancient cultures of Ohio.

Park Manager Tim Goodwin told The Highland County Press on Sunday, July 5 that sometime between 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 4 and 8:45 a.m. Sunday, July 5, someone drove a vehicle – possibly a pickup truck – over a burial mound and through a wooded area that is off limits to cars and trucks.

“It looks like someone was ‘joy-riding’ Saturday night,” Goodwin said. “There’s no permanent damage. It will take some work to restore everything.”

Serpent Mound continues to be an area drawn to people intent on doing damage …

Yet another kind of vandalism. Long article with several videos and related links:

https://eu.chillicothegazette.com/story/news/2020/12/21/christian-prayer-group-and-native-americans-face-off-serpent-mound/3992503001/

Quote
Christian prayer group and Native Americans face off at Ohio's Serpent Mound
CAMERON KNIGHT | CINCINNATI ENQUIRER
Deputies were called Sunday when a Christian prayer group and Native Americans faced off Sunday at the Great Serpent Mound, the Native American national historic site in southern Ohio.

The Native American leader who was there says they were trying to protect a sacred site that belonged to their ancestors.

The leader of the prayer group says the mound is a place where dark energy is released into the world.

"I'm not calling the Indians dark," Dave Daubenmire told The Enquirer. "This has nothing to do with the Indians."

Daubenmire leads Pass the Salt Ministries out of Hebron, Ohio, about a two-hour drive from the snake-shaped mound which could have been built as long ago as 320 BC.

Led by Daubenmire, the group was there on the Winter Solstice "praying down (the) Satanic serpent mounds," according to the group's YouTube video recording the event titled "PAGANS TRY TO PREVENT PRAYER."
