Spammers
« on: August 17, 2014, 09:20:56 pm »
I always find it interesting when, after some fraud has a dramatastic meltdown here, then the next morning we get hit with tons of spammers trying to join. Or, one person running a spambot. Suspicious timing, to say the least.

We just had to clear out dozens of applications with really spammy names and emails. If anyone who is a real person got accidentally dumped, please re-apply, but know that if your screen name or email looks like gibberish you will probably be rejected. We are a multilingual community, so names in other languages are fine. I'm talking about screen names like "Zqxs55fmxyz" and the like, and email addresses that sound obscene or like they're selling something.
