Hello. The neighboring town in my area has a branch of the deer tribe Métis medicine society. The founder Kelly “Jumping Mouse” Clampitt states on the website that they are “of Chickasaw mixed blood (Métis) heritage.” I am European American, and have read about the DTMMS in the past. I was uncomfortable questioning someone who claimed to be indigenous so I thought I could being the information here.

She claims to be Chickasaw, then inaccurately claims being mixed makes her Metis. Nothing the Deer Tribe does has anything to do with Chickasaw, Metis, or any other Native traditions or beliefs.

She held fraudulent ceremony selling July 29 and Aug 22-23, in the middle of the pandemic. Many of the Deer Tribe's fake ceremonies involve sexual abuse. The site describes their sweatlodge, which the DT has no right to do and is notorious for doing so poorly people are injured by burns, dehydration, and passing out.

Photos show aging clueless entirely white hippies, big wide grins not caring about their appropriation and abuse. Faux feminism, faux Native, faux psychology.

We don't know if this particular set of frauds sexually abuse or not, but the Deer Tribe as a whole is notorious for it. Warn anyone considering this about the possibility. Moved to Frauds.
