Anyone know his family? I'm hearing this might be a case of ceremonial "adoption" being presented as citizenship.

Here he says his parents are Chuck Remle and Donna Harrison. Anyone on any of the reservations know them or are related to them? I can find zero info on any members of the Remle family online. It's a very rare surname in the US.

Googling a bit it appears his father's full name is Charles H. Remle, and his mother Donna J. Emery. The family seems very settled in Washington State. No other previous addresses in other states are listed.

The Native Daily Network referred to Matt Remle this way on 15 March 2017:
"From our friend Matt Remle, a Hunkpapa Lakota from Standing Rock, who has helped lead the #nodapl divestment movement continues in his quest for climate justice."
