Why does Sylina use "A'ho Mitakuye Oyasin"?

What kind of tarps is she using for sweat lodges?

She has altered her facebook settings since she became aware of this forum post about her. That in itself is very telling!

Many people here use "A'ho Mitakuye Oyasin". There are many here, it the Southeast, who are self proclaimed medicine/spiritual leaders. The states here have little or no state registered tribes and thus no Native Americans of full blood/high blood to call them out. Some really believe in the ceremonies and if they are lucky they can find a true lodge and true lodge leader.

It would be beyond ridiculous to give Joseph Rising Sun (birth name Joseph Lewis Kirsche, he may have recently legally changed his name) thousands of dollars to become a branch of his fake church, All Nations Native American Church. His fake church does not provide legality or legitimacy.

Joseph Rising Sun appears to really like his drugs. Peyote, ayahuasca, frog venom, and a social media photo of he and friends rolling on what surely is MDMA ... how is he, through his fake church, expected to help people with actual substance abuse and mental health challenges? How on earth does Sylina Buehne through Rising Sun or Oklevueha or her own All Nations Native American Church Soul Medicine Inc. (where exactly is that incorporated?) believe she can actually safely help people?

For any recovery organizations that she has approached: please don't invite her to do sweat lodges, they are not safe and she does not know what she is doing. Please research her claims. Please understand that white folks playing Indian and giving each other drugs is not going to solve anyone's challenges.

We will be building a permanent inipi on the new property.

I wonder about this new property, if it is leased or purchased.

Their fundraiser raised $4,115. https://www.gofundme.com/Native-Village I'm curious how those funds are being used.

Now she is Mayan!

Back in 2013 she and her partner hosted Lina Barrios at their Harvest Moon Natural Market  store https://web-beta.archive.org/web/20140527042428/http://spirit-connection-now.com/events/

Lina Barrios
Lina Barrios is an anthropologist and Maya Ajq'ij (Spiritual Guide) who, according to this ancient tradition has reached the age of wisdom, becoming an elder. For nearly 25 years she has worked tirelessly for the preservation of traditional Maya languages, women's rights, dress, culture and spirituality. She is a published author, awarded with the "Premio Iberoamericano de Investigación Municipal Villa de Madrid" and "Premio Iberoamericano de Igualdad Cortez de Cadiz".Lina also works as a university professor.

My guess is that Sylina's "Mayan" performance comes from attending workshops with folks like Lina Barrios.

Sylina acts like an actress changing costumes for her next performance.

It's just amazing how many get sucked in by these types. Many don't even care if it's right or not!

Simply amazing! Sylina was my gf in early '90s. We lived together for a couple years. Never did she mention an Indian heritage. She was a Jehovah's Witness (point of contention for us)
She was a beautiful person inside and out. Pains me to read all these comments about her now.
