Claims to have learned from a Mary Uslik, no tribe mentioned just aboriginal.

Quotes from frauds like Craig Carpenter and Joan Halifax.

Has an endorsement by a Cree elder named Amy Eustergerling. She seems to have no problem doing mix and match ceremonies.

"drumming, songs, prayers and teachings conducted by Amy Eustergerling and Phil L’Hirondelle as well as by other Elders. If you wish you can bring a stone which can be left at the medicine wheel which will be thus created."

But sometimes she's just an entertainer.

I noticed all the stuff about Amy.  He doesn't say much about himself on his own site at all. Just quotes from different books.

I got an email saying he showed up uninvited to a Sundace with a bunch of white groupes, and made themselves very unwelcome.

When I read this on his site:

'Many years ago, a Cree/Ojibwa/Lakota elder said, "You have been coming to sweat lodge 5-6 years. You must request of the Creator assistance in finding your own healing way to share with the people." '

I thought, 'They meant "we don't want to seem rude, but this is not the place for you", and he thought they meant "Congratulations! You are now a freelance medicine man!"'

Does it look that way to anyone else?

OMG! You're right Barnaby! In fact, I have a friend who went to sweats and sundance even, and then his mentor (his words) told him it was time to seek his own ancestoral way to find healing. My friend, however, did not take this to me he could now be a medicine man.;)
