Kent Blansett AKA Kent Patrick Blansett
« on: November 18, 2023, 04:32:15 am »
I had heard of Kent Blansett (no longer at UMM). I know there are questions about his claims of being “a Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Shawnee, and Potawatomi descendant from the Blanket, Panther, and Smith families.”
https://history.ku.edu/people/kent-blansett
http://ancestorstealing.blogspot.com/2021/04/https//history.ku.edu/kent-blansett.html

The first link is still there, with a link to Kent Blansett’s Family History, a 7-page PDF in Dropbox, that can be accessed by clicking that link which contains a key:
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/9s8v6t72eelbceh5og73l/Kent-Blansett-Family-History.pdf?rlkey=f7aroqwprnxe8cqrqv1t28s1s&dl=0

The second link in the quote now yields this: "Sorry, the page you were looking for in this blog does not exist."

At this site I found the following: https://tribalallianceagainstfrauds.org/kent-patrick-blansett
Quote
Kent Patrick Blansett
False Claims:  Cherokee, Creek, Choctaw, Shawnee, and Potawatomi

Then there is a downloadable fan chart (PDF; PNG) of his genealogy, going six generations back. No other information.

Thank you, Laurel! — The search function on that site is quite quirky (at least in my Safari browser for Mac). One search for 'Blansett' yielded 7 hits, and the only option was "Show all 7 posts", but the result was "No posts found". By scrolling down the front page for this year (2023), I found ten posts:

That last one regards what's written here about the FakeIndians blog. (Kent Blansett is one of those three):
