About Jamie - I never saw that she claimed to be Cherokee though that wouldn't surprise me if she did. But she does claim to be Twylah Nitches grand daughter, but then ... so does everyone else.

This is true about Jamie Samms as far as I know and I have looked. But she does speak in a voice in her books that gives a person the idea that she is and she doesn't need to mention that she is. Almost as though by not mentioning but taking so much from Cherokee belief and talking as though she is what she was taught since time began she creates the impression, yeah thats it, creates the impression.
