While reading vances site today I noticed info. wanted on Cherokeeheritage foundation. After reading the post and cliking on the news paper site, I found it odd that this foundation simply reprinted the what was written in the paper and als talked about the cherokees, trail of tears ect. most l taken right from a book. site email:http://cherokeefoundation.tripod,com/.

I did email Jill Ingram who wrote the artical about the auditing of the eastern cherokee rolls, she immediatley emailed me back and is going to investigate this site and will get back to me.
Anybody know about this foundation??

It's taken me a while to get to this as I have been researching for at least 3 weeks. What will Present is facts and leave it at that and hope for feed back as it still leaves me somewhat confused.

Lets start at  www.indians.org. This appears  to be "a store front" to what follows. Is what I am about to say legal? explotation of using the American Indian name once again used for the purpose of greed? HMMM

If you go to the lower right hand side of indians.org you will find a place to click that will tell you about  American Indian Heritage Foundation, 6051 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church VA 22044 owner Princess Pale Moon/Rose no where could I find the name Suntz. CEO is Dr. Wil Rose. It has a IRs subsection (03) assets not updated since 2002.
htt://partners.guidestar.org/justgive/controller/searchResults.gs?action_gsReport=1&npol...

htt://www.melissadata.com/lookups/np.asp?zip=american+indian+heritage+foundation

Along with the above Foundation are the following all owned by Princess Pale Moon.
Native American Heritage Foundation
6051 Arlington Blvd,Falls Church,Va.

National Heritage Foundation 6051 Arlington Blvd.,Falls Church VA. Owner Pale Moon, Ceo Dr. JT "Dock" Houk. States Foundation for orphans.

American Indian Heritage Foundationd different address Box 6301,Falls Church, VA. (703) 819-0979{a Washington, VA ph#)

Native American Indian Resource Information- Maryland Area c/o American Indian Heritage Foundation,Falls Church, VA (202)463-4267{Washington,DC Ph#} The American Heritage Foundation.
http:??www.411.com/10668/search/reverse_phone?phone

Cherokee Heritage Foundation, Falls Church,VA. We have found out the address for this and it appears to be part of Pale Moons Groups however ,they are being researched futher by me, charity watch dog groups,BBB,FTA.

National Heritage Foundation:http://www.nhf.org/dock/history.htm
Nation Heritage Foundation with  Dr.JT Houk CEO. Some of the statements located here, which is a link of www.indians.org, made by Mr. Houk is "I was free to get out and sell foundations. My target group was not those who might set up foundations, but salesmen who would contact their clients. I was after a retailer-setting up foundations for those who wanted to get on the front line of the  Charitable sector- and we had a lot of early sucess stories..." "If we could get members of the financial community, who were busy showing their clients how to Earn More. and Keep More, to focus also on Giving more, our charities would be stronger for once". What is also interesting is the NHF is controlled by a Board of five, Mixie his wife, son Tick, Ticks wife Julie, plus 2 board members with no family ties. You can read all about the workings of this foundation accoutable to Pale Moon at www.indians.org click on foundations.
NFH promotes people to people projectsby setting up "Foundations at NHF. one of the main objectives is to popularize the use of Foundations. to start your "Foundation" it is a $285 application fee. NHF does all the "administrativia" for you, including receiving all writing checks and making disburstments from YOUR foundation, sending receipts for donations to YOUR foundation, all accounting, state and federal compliance and rereporting.

Once your foundation application is accepted by the Board of Directors Donor/Founder's project becomes an integral part of the National HeritageFoundation. The Foundation does not receive a different tax ID and Donor/Founder understands that once a project is accepted by NHF, that the project is maintained as "a National Heritage Foundation". The NHF Board of Directors supervises every donation coming in and authorizes every disburstment going out. We currently have nearly 9,000 foundations under our umbrella. http://www.nhf.org/
You can read the remainder of this under Welcome to NHF.

The National Endowment for the American Indian: A registered Trust of the National Heritage Foundation c/o National Heritage Foundation http://www.indians.org/About_us/Endowment/endowmnt.html Owner Pale Moon.

This is a Powerful Philanthropic Force with over 9,000 foundation under the complete control of Princess pale Moon and her husband, is it no wonder she appears to be a very charitable person esp. when they retain from each foundation a percentage of thier donations and is she the one giving these scholarships, awards ect. or one of the foundations under her control?

Pale moon is found on the www as a actress,singer,artist, cherokee,choctow,cheyenne,ojibwa many sites for books, records, here are a few for you;
http://www.biblio.com/books/41830.html
http://www.istziemlich.org/posters/poster-898973/princess-pale-moon
http://www.always-whitewolf.com/Bio.htm
www.indiancountry,com/content.cfm?id=1073422363

Well this has been rather long and I do have much more but perhaps I should stop. perhaps will add more later.
QUESTION AL: Is there anything going on here {if I have been clear} or is pale moons ownership of all these foundations/charities and these are just some of them, seem "OFF" somehow?? It's all   made to appear it's all about the indians but my research show differently.
                                        Thanks Joyce A.

There have been several "Princess Pale Moon". Looking through historical newspapers.com I can see burlesque dancers that used that name along with many women who performed in pageants based on a famous legend. The television show Maverick even did an episode in 1960 "Thunder from the North" based on that legend.

This thread is focused on:

Quote
Name:    Reita Ann Sentz
Event Type:    Birth
Birth Date:    15 Apr 1940
Birth County:    Buncombe
Parent1 Name:    John Henry Sentz

She is referred to several places here on the forum including http://www.newagefraud.org/smf/index.php?topic=1909.0

In 1961 she was married to Henry B Thielmann. They divorced in 1976.

A 1970 article about her music career includes:

Quote
A Cherokee Indian princess, she was born in the Great Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. Her Indian name means Princess Pale Moon.

She also used the name "Matoka".

1982 article https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/1982/05/02/pale-moon-at-the-edge-of-the-spotlight/281cac4c-8b07-465c-b2cf-ae49aedab1e3/

She changed her name legally at some point to "Princess Pale Moon Rose". Traffic tickets and tax liens are in variations of that name.

1992:

Quote
Some Indians had been critical of USIA’s plan to have Pale Moon, born Rita Ann Suntz and co-founder of a controversial charity, represent their culture.

She is not registered with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Don Allery, former deputy director of the National Congress of American Indians, said in a telephone interview from Washington.

?She has not been able to verify that she’s descended from any tribe she claims. ... She could just as well claim to be Queen of England,? he said.

Pale Moon said she is is Cherokee by birth, and Blackfoot and Ojibwa by adoption, but only became aware of her heritage late in life.

Pale Moon and her husband Wil Rose founded the American Indian Heritage Foundation, of Falls Church, Va., which was chosen to organize the inauguration.

Pale Moon’s foundation was barred from soliciting donations in Virginia, New York and other states for periods in the 1980s for failing to register as a charity.

I plan to work my way through her genealogy and newspaper archives.

I just did a quick look-see and she's white. It was kind of hard to find her and her family isn't in a lot of censuses. Father Sentz and mother Pressley.

If this memorial and links on back are correct, this Sentz surname is from Germany https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/82220897/john-henry-sentz

Rita is in her 80s and I think still alive. Lots of people still believe her fraud. An ancestry.com family tree even lists "pale moon" as a believer's religion.

Ebay has several of her albums.

She and her siblings performed often as folksingers. Everyone said that she had an excellent voice. I wish she had just stayed with being a wonderful mezzo soprano singer instead of doing Fake Indian.

More clips from the 1970s when her married surname was Thielmann and she continued doing Billy Graham crusades. Includes her quote about performing in blackface when she was a teen.

She says that she didn't want be "be an Indian" until Jesus "created a sunburst in this little rosebud and caused me to open my petals".

INDIAN CHARITY HAS LARGE DEBTS, TROUBLED PAST GROUP NOW SEEKING LAND DONATIONS
https://www.mcall.com/news/mc-xpm-1991-03-13-2781258-story.html

Quote
An American Indian charity, preparing to launch a nationwide fund-raising campaign that asks people to give land "back to the Indians," has a half-million dollars in debts and a history of being barred from soliciting contributions.

Quote
The TV ads feature Pale Moon, who sang the national anthem at two Republican conventions, and Iron Eyes Cody, the actor famous for shedding tears over pollution in "Keep America Beautiful" ads.

Quote
"Our question is how does a bunch of toys help ... in feeding them (the Indians) and getting them clothes, which is their representation," Wright said.

Quote
There are also questions about the Indian heritage of Pale Moon, who says she is Cherokee and Ojibwe. Bureau of Indian Affairs records show she is not a member of the Cherokee, according to Evelyn Pickett, a BIA spokeswoman.

Rose, who claims no Indian heritage himself, said Pale Moon is an Indian, but is not enrolled in either tribe because she only became aware of her heritage in her 20s.
