"Walking in two worlds, the shamanic world of indigenous spirituality, and the Western world of a practicing psychologist, consultant, teacher, workshop-retreat leader and public speaker, Tom serves as a bridge-builder, bringing what he calls “The Teachings of the Elders??? into practical applications within the modern, urban setting.

He claims to have been taught by the Huichols, but some of what he does is Nuage knockoffs of Lakota practices, using Lakota phrases, selling sweats and other ceremonies. For example, a vision quest costs you $765 each, for groups of up to ten. Whoever heard of ten people going on a vision quest together? The whole point is isolation.

He does claim to give grants "those working for social justice" but admits they are "small." And he doesn't list who the grants supposedly went to. I see him as yet another academic chasing after cash.
