Hale Naua - Hawaiian cultural/arts resources collective

Wanting to offer for your consideration an exceptional Hawaiian non-fraud group. The Jensesn `Ohana is mentioned elsewhere in this site.

Hale Naua III Society of Maoli Art is an indigenous Hawaiian art collective founded by Living Treasure and artist Rocky Ka`iokahihikolo`ehu Jensen and author Lucia Tarallo. Founded in 1976. That is straight from their promos. http://www.punawelewele.com/halepai/kepakemapa/kepakemapa10a.htm

My observations of them since their founding is that they use art as a way to preserve and perpetuate Maoli tradition and culture, providing a context for growth into the new century while remaining firmly grounded in our heritage.  http://www.k5thehometeam.com/story/5822669/exhibition-explores-animism-and-totemism-in-contemporary-hawaiian-art

The artists Hale Naua III works with are carefully vetted for their understanding and application of cultural authenticity in metaphor, theme, and expression. Whenever any of their artists give workshops, I encourage people to attend. They base their work in the teachings of their own kupuna (elders), as well as independent research.

Mahalo for providing a valuable forum.
