In those early days she had a flashy brochure listing a number of projects in the Indigenous world. One was the revival of the Canoe tradition on the British Columbia coast. It didn't take long to find out that it was tribal youth leaders and others who were spearheading that effort. Colorodo's organization didn't have anything to do with it.

This bit especially bothers me, the revival of canoe traditions on the west coast is vital, she really should not try to tamper with it, she is a rude thieving outsider.

From this obit, looks like her birth name is Pamela Kizer, parents William Kiser and Geraldine Patnode.

She is identified as one of William Kizer's daughters: "Dr. Pamela (Keola Sequeira) Colorado of Hawaii"

Epiphany:

--- Quote ---Colorado grew up in a community of Oneida Indians in the rural Midwest, the daughter of a poor but nature-savvy logger who worked behind a dray horse as his father had done. She lived in a house with no running water, but her connection to the land of her ancestors was so intense that she wept for it after she moved to the city.

Here is her mother's obit: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=84022159&PIpi=82993064

When she says she is from the Oneida tribe, what she really should be saying is that some of her people spent time in Oneida County, Wisconsin.

1Seeker reports that her family has 1 Native ancestor 9 generations back - in that case she certainly is not representing her true heritage accurately.

There's another aspect:

Given her father's family name - Kiser seems to have been adjusted to English pronounciation, from a German family name "Kaiser" [meaning: emperor]. Milwaukee as a place of origin plus a German background seems feasible.
