We are the people from the Eagle Circle - the first Bulgarian Indian Society. It was founded on March 10th 1990, and although we have only been together for a short time, most of us have been following the Sacred Red Path for many years.

'Being Indian does not necessarily mean having 'red skin', but rather a particular way of thinking!' , says Billy Miles from the Tuskarora people.

Most of the site is in the Bulgarian language. I used this translator and it worked ok.  They seem to be doing teachings and group studies.  And they talk about a geneological connection of Bulgarians with American Indians.  It would almost be like comparing Chinese people to American Indians because of the Bering Straight Theory. It's also weird that they say that they can be found most of the time in the libraries. This is probably a classis example of people trying to learn American Indian spirtuality through books while filtering it through their non Native belief system.  But they take it a step further and actually put their readings to work in their camps.

You can find us in the libraries where we spend our time researching into the spiritual and material culture of the Native Americans.

In the text when talking to members of Eagle Circle (candidates and officials), the most commonly used form m.r. singular, but it is for the purpose facility, naturally, candidates and members of the Bulgarian official Indian society can be of both sexes.

-------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------

Can I become a member of the Eagle Round?
Official member of the Eagle Circle can become any person who is not criminals, no mental illness and does not belong to religious, political or ideological organizations and programs too extreme actions (as is common to this formulation of moral and citizenship it is quite specific). The person wishing to become an official member of the Bulgarian Indian society must be reached soon or yet to him turns 18. With the exception of members can be adopted and persons aged 16 years, but only with written consent from the attached parents face.

What do I need to join?
The most important conditions (beyond those already mentioned formalities) to join the Round Eagle can be distinguished deep, lasting, serious and complete interest in culture and history of North American Indians, and respect for the principles of Eagle Circle (in the formal declaration zalegnati Society, in other documents in the unwritten rules and interpersonal communication), their compliance and enforcement.

As soon as you can become a member of your community?
Everyone wanted to join the Eagle Circle, has the status of candidate member of society. Candidate may also be adopted as an official member after a sufficiently long period (whose duration is not formally defined), in which the candidate be able to understand the extent necessary, other members of society, and they - it. To officially join the Eagle Round proceed only by the willingness of the candidate and agreed by the other official members of society. Candidate member is not required to become an official member.
In Eagle Circle are welcome all persons who qualify as friends and guests of Eagle Circle, but they have no power within the society unless such is not presented to them in case of official members of Eagle Circle.

What are the rights of candidate members?
Candidate member may attend all meetings and activities of the Bulgarian Indian society, except those which are specifically mentioned that they require the presence of only official members of society. Advice and other related discussions and debates collections Eagle Round opinion of the candidate members can be heard, but they are not entitled to vote in decision-making.

With which Indian tribes do?
Eagle Round deals with the history, culture and present the North American Indians - in the range of our interests is excluded indigenous people of Central and South America. In order to clarify it is good to point out that so far the members of the Bulgarian Indian Society of theoretical and practical study, only a few cultural and geographic regions of North America - that are primarily native peoples of the Great plains (Lacoste, Cheyenne, Crow, etc. kayova. ), somewhat Indians northeastern forests (odzhibuey, Iroquois and others.) and in part - the so-called. Southwest Indians (Apache, Navajo, etc.)..
We sincerely hope to Bulgarian Indian society to join and people with interest (and especially - with the knowledge) on the other tribes of North American Indians - more so even among prairie, forest and south-western Indians there are many people that deserve serious attention but it still has not paid them.
